    This is a really great idea for a video. I have seen other deck building videos on KZread, but the hands-on approach of: "Let's talk through building a deck with a random assortment of Pool 3 cards" is incredibly valuable

    Hey brother, I'm ghost on KZread but wanted to reach out to you. I consider you the top content creator on the Snap train. Absolute quality videos and this one is peak amongst them, very original. In the early days of this race to be the face of a franchise I consider you ahead of the pack in all forms. Many are already chasing their own tails and their videos have begun their copy and paste loop. You've got rewatchability, great intellect and effort and solid personality that isn't over the top with clickbait energy. Stay steadfast and consistent brother, everyone else will see you the same way soon. Godspeed, King.

    Very interesting to see how small combos chain together -- Lockjaw + Odin is not-great-but-fine, but Odin is powerful backup for Jubilee and White Tiger, so he's good enough for an incomplete-collection Lockjaw deck. What a good video! I just pulled Sera and was thinking "Boy, I don't have nearly enough of the pool 3 cards that work well with her", but it took looking at what I had as well as the plentiful of strong cards in pools 1 and 2 to make something explosive nonetheless. I look forward to getting better at crafting more decks in the future and appreciate your insights.

    On one hand I agree the major pain point is not having cards that defeat you. I feel this is worst in the pool 1-2 gap. I had intended on grinding out 5k credits again one the pool 2-3 gap but I started facing destroyer decks at level 474 (the 1-2 gap I never faced pool 2 decks). I don't think players are meant to have all the cards and deck building is meant to be a bit improvisational. so far it's working as the pool of players is large enough that i'm facing others with a similar collection level. I haven't seen too many of the super combo's a full pool 3 collection can make.

    Sweet examples of deckbuilding out of limited pool cards. It is a little different from having almost or all of the cards to choose from, but doesn't make it less fun. Restrictions build creativity after all. One of the big reasons the actual building of decks is so satisfying, is that nearly all cards have a use. There are some examples of archetypes that do not work as well as the top meta decks, like the move deck for example, but it still is a playable deck, especially in pool 2 meta. Being less consistant or more impacted by locations as a deck isn't as much of a problem because you can use the snap mechanic to compensate for it.

    "America Chavez to draw Lockjaw more frequently" is mathematicaly kind of wrong. Yes, you have better odds to draw it before turn 3, but overall, because you can´t draw it on turn 6 (because you are forced to draw America), your chances to draw one specific card in your deck in a single given game are actually lower. And play Lockjaw on six along with something like 2 cheap cards can be big surprise for good cube gain.

  • @HooglandiaSnap

    @HooglandiaSnap

    Жыл бұрын

    Very much disagree with the idea that being 3% more likely to draw lockjaw on turn 6 is worth being less likely to have it on curve. Ideally we want to play a six drop from hand on six - not lockjaw when our deck is mostly empty.

    Snap is very accessible, so this might be many viewers first introduction to a deckbuilding card game. If you haven’t done it before, it can be rather daunting, especially to do it well. Also, since there’s only 12 cards deckbuilding choices are extremely impactful on snap, so deckbuilding poorly can be especially punishing. And it can be hard to tell that’s what you’re being punished for.
