Fix a broken Dining Table Bench

This video I’m going to show you how to fix a broken dining table bench. This bench had 3 our of the 4 leg supports break. The dining table bench was still in good condition except for the supports. The supports are mortise and tenon and one of the tenons had completely broke. I had to shape by hand a new floating tenon, but it was a bit more complex that you may think. One side of the floating tenon is a different size than the other. I hope you enjoy this video and learn a bit on how to fix a broken dining table bench.

Nice fix Dale! I had to repair a similar dining chair before that used dowels. Some of the dowels weren't even glued in. That's the best floating tenon I've seen you make so far.

Sir, thanks for the information. I was a weekend warrior, taking care of projects when off work. Since retirement, my weekends have happily become longer.
