When I did it I wasn't even trying, I was no good at cross overs, I find it easier to do it when I'm going faster, so just go for it, that's how I learnt to do it

Maybe. My brother and dad were hockey skaters. I was a figure skater. I always thought the crossover step was harder than parallel. That’s just me.

A spin turn is more effective and efficient but it’s fine to use the break it is just not efficient when u need to quickly stop

Remove the break and start learning how to brake properly mate

Crossovers are so fun. On a big turn I can do 7 or 8 at a time and I can do crossovers while moving forward. Skating is so so so so so so soooooooo much fun

I don’t own rollerblades but still enjoy the videos.

Crossover is really useful, i learned it roller skating and i use it in roller blades, 7 years of rollers skating can help your balance quite a bit haha

what i do is catching some speed, inner foot (the foot closer to the edge of the turn) is straight, and the outer foot getting away from the other foot and putting some weight on the outer foot

Do your inline skates not have a break at the back? If so, how do you usually stop?

That brake actually puts you in a more unbalanced position and can make you trip once you become more advanced, so most professional skates and advanced people choose to remove it. There are many ways to turn (she also has a video on that), but my personal favorite is putting one foot behind you perpendicularly.

I and most ppl do what's call the t stop which is it take ur dominant foot and turn it side ways and like kinda slide the side of the wheels off the ground looks cleaner to

I use the step around one 😊

I personally find ice skating to be the most fun but it isn’t something you can do everything because the fact you need a rink and not everywhere has good access to one close by. The closest to me is 20 minutes and it isn’t even open to the public except near the holidays. If you want to use it as a mode of transportation I would think roller blading and I think it’s better to control your balance. I like roller skating but I was more scared to fall forward and backwards because of how the wheels are position

Make your parallel turns even better by getting yours knees ahead of your skates 🦵. Like a snow skier in terms of forwards flex. ⛷️

Once I tried to do the monster turn because my dad said it was the easiest... I did it and did a full on split. I can't do splits it just hurts when I try. I could not move for a few hours and it hurt like hell. I'm gonna stick with the steps
