Arcanum needs love.

Control 2 is already confirmed and in development along with Max Payne 1 and 2 Remake. Remedy has also just recently back in February purchased all rights to Control from 505 Games. So it’s guaranteed that the sequel is still on the way. Extremely excited for the game.

I want inExile to make a crpg Fallout game. Microsoft owns them and Bethesda, they could bring them together to make something great. They could even have Obsidian help with the story.

If you play Bethesda's RPGs today, starting with Daggerfall, chronologically in order up to Starfield, you realize how Bethesda has basically diluted each new game while offering less and less improvements over the previous game. At some point but quite certainly in Starfield you realize that especially the clear decline in writing quality but also in gameplay, features and worldbuilding (figuratively and literally) is absolutely mind blowing. Starfield is just the amalgamation of everything that Bethesda has been doing for decades at this point. So, why would anybody even want a new Fallout game at this point? Fallout is already an oversaturated mess and creatively dead and the Fallout show will be released in less than two weeks on Prime but it makes Bethesda a ton of money regardless of how they treat it. The best thing about FO4 is the Far Harbor DLC. The best thing about FO3 is that it made New Vegas possible. Microsoft suits in positions that could decide stuff like that couldn't care less about making "something great" and the same goes for Bethesda because their approach made and still makes them a ton of money. cRPGs are still niche and they won't even try to copy the success of Baldur's Gate 3, instead we get more games as a service and single player games with microtransactions.

The funny thing about Alpha Protocol is that nobody actually needs the IP rights to make a sequel. It was a major plot point that Alpha Protocol was only the latest iteration of a program that was constantly being shut down and restarted under different names. Mike Thorton was an alias. There's no shortage of ways to make a direct sequel that doesn't actually violate the IP rights of the original.

@@ghjong001 Just needs to be in the right hands, not rushed and have improved combat. The jank and bad things in the original were easily overlooked by the branching narratives and thrilling spy story. It was one of those games I could not put down. I beat it in one day and didn't sleep. lol

Solasta comes to mind as well. The devs said they want to make a different kind of game first. But I have the hope it gets a sequel down the line. In my opinion that game offers my favorite take on 5th edition D&D. And that includes BG3. The combat is better in Solasta, even though BG3 easily outshines it in almost every other aspect, be it writing, voiceacting, character work and so on. But the way Solasta is structured with that all self-made team who give input according to the personalities you pick, it's just a really nice game to pick up and finish in thirty to fifty hours. I keep starting a new campaign every few months and have by now done most different class combinations.

It really is a great game, and the combat is incredibly satisfying. If they do make another and they are able to put a bit more polish on it, it could be incredibly successful.

Ok, but Larian has mentioned the possibility of doing something vaguely scifi related. Imagine if they did a CRPG in the Deus Ex universe

Shadowrun totally fit Larian style a lot more imo, which is Cyberpunk Fantasy.

I have to mention I would love a Wasteland 4 to happen as well

BulletStorm, it was going to happen but it was cancelled, here's hoping they revive it. Genuinely one of the best shooters of the decade imo

Supposedly the developers are working on something. even though as Mortim mentioned Logic Artists is kind of disbanded, THQ Nordic owns the series now.

Oh yes, Ego Draconis getting a sequel is something I've been wanting for a long time. I loved that game despite all its flaws, by the end it really felt like you earned your power, you become a dang demigod. It had so much character and little details, it didn't fail for a lack of passion from the devs, that's for sure.

I would love a sequel to the Ultima series, and considering the head of Larian claimed he loves the series, I wish they would do something with that franchise. I also would like a sequel to Planescape Torment. Probably a different story in the same universe with the same great storytelling and hopefully better combat that's totally optional. Sequels to Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire would be great but Bioware is simply not the same anymore, so it's unlikely to happen.

Expeditions Rome and Divinity? A man of culture I see.

The Lies of P sequel will have to be titled The road of D - referring to Dorothy of course, and the yellow brick road.

Oh, my. Divinity 2: Ego Draconis. A flawed game with such an awesome premise.

@@rpgelitist I remember that turning into a dragon for the first time in this game was so mind-blowing. The mind reading power was also neat. Otherwise, it was a very mid third-person action-RPG. I wish Larian made a sequel of that game, using their current experience, knowledge and resources.

Divinity Original Sin 3 is all I want. Baldur's Gate 3 gave Larian more than enough resources to really give DOS 3 some serious production value. :D

Me too. Hopefully without the ridiculous armour system of D:OS2 though. I heard they may be dipping their toes into a deal with another property first. Not sure how legit that is but given the success of BG3, it makes sense that other companies would want to snatch them up

Honestly there is no other youtube channel that even comes close to the quality and passion of every video you post. If it weren't for this channel I would never have discovered Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny and the Expeditions series. You are not alone with your love for Divinity. Divinity 2 Ego Draconis was my first video game actually so i have a lot of fond memories of it. I always found the fact that the franchise didnt take itself too serious very charming. Although it was unbalanced AF.

Control being in this list put a smile on my face, i loved that game, I was actually playing it just before Dragons Dogma 2 came out

I came here to hear KCD2. Wasn’t disappointed.

The Divinity lore is rich and the characters are well written, the first thing I did after finishing DOS2 was to look for novels but I couldn't find any unfortunately.

Ego draconis was fun. In my mind it was a spiritual successor to the drakan games. Had a lot of the same feel. Drakan3 on pc will never be made, but I dream about it sometimes.

I got to know Expeditions: Rome from you and I'll always be grateful for that. That was such a cool campaign to conclude and I loved everything about the fighting system Also, I'm in Rome, I really needed to include that game in my personal knowledge as gamer and Roman citizen :D

It's so easy to love this channel, Mortis. This guy is so lovable. Good health to him, to his family, to his son!

I have tried Divinity 2 so many times. Practically every time I see someone praise it online, I go and reinstall it. It is, on paper, a game I should enjoy. I got to the point of turning into a dragon ONCE. ALL the other times I played, I would literally nod off while playing. Exact same case with Kingdoms of Amalur.

I now believe that we will never see the sequel to Divinity ED, denied even by Larian and unfortunately forgotten/unknown by the players. A good example of an ARPG with the Larian touch. I quite enjoyed the Original Sin saga but I'm much more intrigued by another adventure in the Forgotten realms

Expeditions Egypt, China, Japan, or Ottoman would be sick. Hope someone picks it up

I'll hold the flag for my fellow dragoons and ask for The Legend of Dragoon remake/sequel/prequel it deserves. Personally I'm in the prequel camp I want to see the Dragon Campaign.

A modern sequel to X-COM Apocalypse would be interesting, it had a nice mix of tactical strategy, economic, political and base management. Sending your squad to hunt down alien infiltration in a megacity hiding among other civilian factions, not knowing if they'd make it back alive was the best part.

Control 2 going an SCP approach and Lies of P sequel w/ its own take in Grim Fairytale would be the best direction

To my knowledge, Control 2 is probably underway. I remember seeing a pic from the developers that showed Hiss victims suspended midair above the road, right outside the doors of the oldest house. It wasn't in-game graphics though, it was concept art.

@@joe6pak14 first played Traveller rpg back in the early 1980s I loved the risky character generation and life paths it was a head of its time. I also loved the Traveller boardgame Snapshot, the game was a major influence on Julian Gollop pre Xcom games like Rebelstar Raiders and Laser Squad

Lies of p was my favorite game last year and I had no idea it exist until I saw it on gamepass. Man I wish I had more surprises like that

I remember being driven away from divinity 2 by reviews and scores but then actually playing it and loving it so much...the plot, the mechanic where u turn into a dragon, the voice in ur head, reading peoples minds, playing magic missile mage and explosive archer...it was like a dream...another averge game that i fell in love with in the past and would like a sequel for is 2 worlds 2

Warhorse Studios are under the yoke of Embracer, so I'm a bit worried in that regard. Control 2 is pretty much confirmed, as per the Remedy Investment Call a few days ago As for sequels: Mars: War Logs/The Technomancer The Surge/The Surge 2 And maybe some reboots or games set in the same game world: Alpha Protocol Jade Empire Arcanum ELEX Bound by Flame

There are so many sequel i want to see in the future. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the next Owlcat Pathfinder game, Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning 2, Wasteland 4, Solasta, Pillars of Eternity 3, Evil Within 3 (I don't think it will ever happen but who knows), Darksiders 4, L.A. Noire 2, Canis Canem Edit 2 and so many more !

Regardless what sequel I want to see the devs/writers should take a hard look at "Outcast" and "Outcast: A New Beginning" for how to fully respect the source material. After all the disappointments throughout the years across every media from movies to shows to live-action adaptations to games - Outcast 2 is the only one that totally surprised me in a good way because of what a great sequel it is. It's made with the same love and reverence and playing it 20 years after I played the first Outcast for a second or third time it took me right back and slowly filled in the blanks in my memory while playing the game. Outcast was technologically impressive and genre-defining back then and now the sequel shows how to do sequels right.

Expeditions is actually pretty great, would love to see more different settings.

With Hasbro's interest in licensed CRPGs piqued and with the Planescape setting being brought back into print by WotC after 25 years, we may (for basically the first time ever) _actually_ be in a situation where a Planescape: Torment sequel isn't a completely ridiculous pipe dream.

According to Remedy’s roadmap Control 2 is actually in the second stage of their 5 stage process. We’re also getting a multiplayer game Control-based game called Project Condor.

Many don't understand that Divinity 2 had a HUGE FACTOR of FUN and humor ! Which, from my distant memories, not many games had and still don't.

The last word from Larion was that they are moving onto something NEW. That has me excited

I would love if we get a KCD 2, the first game is amazing, so fresh and unique. Lies of P is going to become the MCU of Souls game (maybe?). It's known that Larian is potentially stiring away from RPGs, it would be great if they'll make an action/hack-and-slash game.

Lies of P & Divinity sequels would be so awesome! I am like you I absolutely love the Divinity games! I will definitely play whatever Larian puts out next because I have actual faith in them unlike many other gaming companies!

I 100% Expeditions Rome twice, first on release and a second time after the Gladiator DLC. The fights were fantastic and I felt it improved on everything its predecessors did. I would also like a Disco Elysium. It's a shame we won't see a sequel to any of them any time soon.

A sequel I would love to see, but most likely never will, is Jade empire. Maybe I am alone in this, but that would be my absolute dream.

I would love for larian to leave the CRPG behind for a little bit when they explore their new IP and to make a divinity 3. I miss when Larian were exploring genres.

I agree with Control, and I would love to see a sequel to Sacrifice.

Arcanum 2. Elden Ring 2 (or whatever is next from FromSoft) PoE 3 (CRPG, not Avowed). New Pathfinder 1E. Persona 6. Sakura Wars 2. Tyranny 2. Confirmed sequels I am looking forward are Hades 2, STALKER 2, The Outer World's 2, Ys X Nordic, translation of The Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak.

Divinity 2 is SOOOO fun. I still haven't played the original sin games but playing Divinity 1, Divine Divinity, and Divinity 2 were one of the best Steam Summer Sale games I've ever purchased and played. Amazing series

I'd most want to see a "Slay The Spire" or "Monster Train" sequel. More than that, I'd love a challenging souls-like centered around a Superhero like Daredevil or Lobo, heh maybe Hawkman/Hawkgirl would be a great choice.

I absolutely loved ego draconis 2, one of my favorite games of all time.

I'd love a sequel to many games but I'm a big fan of Seven Days Long Gone and I'd love more games based in that world. Or even games that have that free roaming verticality style.

Ironic that the game I most wanted on this list (Tyranny 2 lol) was indeed the first one mentioned.

I really want a Scarlet Nexus sequel. Loved that game and the creators have expressed that they want to make a sequel if they where given a chance by Bandai, I am holding my fingers crossed. Also The Chant, that game was so underrated and such a great game that I really hope they can continue working on that universe!

Personally, I'm wating for Beyond Divinity 2. We still didn't get answers about what happened to Asmodeus or Raan and Raanaar. So a sequel with a paladin or some new protagonist would have been great!
