Things I love about Palladium's RPGs: 1. Quality settings. Palladium's RPGs and supplements set the stage for rich, immersive RPG adventures and campaigns with a wealth of background lore without upstaging the player characters. 2. Setting versatility. Each setting has its own flavor: martial arts, classic fantasy, superheroes, space opera, horror, and all of it thrown together, which reminds me: 3. Interoperability. Porting content from one setting to another is so natural that an entire setting is based on the premise of stuff coming in from alternate realities all the time. 4. Character versatility. You can play as a huge variety of classes and species with a wide range of power levels and play styles. 5. The fan community is helpful, friendly, and interesting to talk to.

One of the things people forget is that palladium is the last of the companies to remain owned/operated and sold nearly exactly the same way when it really became main stream in 1991 with RIFTS. DnD has changed more times then you change pants. Same with all the others they have changed over time. Palladium? Nope regardless good/bad/ugly its still the same game when I was a kid.

You forgot the Palladium Open House! What other game company has a small intimate convention where you actually get to game with the people who write the books? Add this to the bonus video, May I suggest the title: "5 more reasons why you should be playing Palladium RPGs"

Palladium Books is THE BEST RPG SYSTEM I've ever used. It gets a little complicated in the beginning but once you get it down it gets easier. For beginners I recommend at least one experienced player/GM it'll go by easier you'll have more fun.

This was all my friends and I played back in the early to mid 90s. The only problems we ran into was that we couldn't get a consistent and quality GM, and we knew all the loopholes in the books that allowed us to make nigh-invulnerable characters. The last time we played, we created a 4 character party in Rifts that killed the 4 Horsemen...as 1st-level characters. Although, I always wished they had made a Rifts movie. Especially if you followed the life of Erin Tarn. Could have been amazing.

i can reccomend the system and setting, the only problems i have seen my group have is power gamers, and character creation being time consuming, best advice set aside a hour on a day off and go through it and then have a fresh set of eyes go over the sheet and occ,

Complexity was in part on the players at the time was asking for it. Nerdarchy has kinda dismissed the rule set for being old. I disagree that it needs to a updated. Have younger (teen and 20 plus) gamers in my 9 player campaign. They were kinda lacking the "grit" to play at first. Now they are on second campaign and wish it was weekly.

We mixed heroes unlimited with ninja turtles. So u were a mutant that was also experimented on. The result was mercenaries or spies that had mutant powers or was a mutated animal. It was awesome.

i need to find a group, or learn how to play online. i was forced to walk away from the group due to a few of them being total assholes and when i did play with them, and they wouldn't even try the game either. the best campaign i have ever played as player or gm, was GM'ing a game of rifts for 6 months, every day for atleast 6 hours a day.

First, get a copy of the most current edition of H.U. Second, ask your friends just what it is that you'd like to get out of the game. Palladium rpgs have a lot of rules and options. You don't have to use them all. In fact the creator of the game only uses the facets that he needs for any particular game. I would recommend starting by creating characters as a group. Go slowly and go step by step through the process for each player and the characters they want to create. There are a wealth of options for you to choose from, but start small. You can always build up bigger later. Then set up a simple scenario and play out a few rounds of combat until you get the hang of it, then move on to deeper gameplay and add more intricate rulings. It's your game. My motto is, if you are all having fun then you are playing it right.
