Only the news is saying the economy is good... Anyone with eyes and has a sense of reality knows its rough out here. I was a broker for 7 years and during Covid drivers made a killing and customers got shafted.. Now the customers are cutting back heavily... theres usually 1 year eb and flows of the markets favoring one or the other, now its been a few years against the drivers. Hopefully it turns around, unfortunately until interest rates come down it wont get better as people are spending less and if they are spending alot has been on credit. I understand the market is bad but im going to be buying a Cargo Van and using my knowledge of the Brokerage/Customer side to guide my business.. I was fortunate enough to be in the industry to see how carriers working direct with customers and offering mini bids on dedicated lanes is good money.

Can’t lie working out of my truck while my Van is in the shop is definitely a blessing in disguise I can focus on car truck & SUV loads until cargo season comes back around,

Curiously, do you have Commercial plates? Also. how does your van handle lower height bridges? If you see a questionable height do you attempt to drive through anyway. I ask because I've seen higher roof vans fit under no problem even if signs notate say 9' +/-. Long Island NY is where you commonly see this. To that is a higher roof van really necessary to your business? 👍

But you gotta come on here and tell people why you should not get a cargo van in 2024 Do you know any idea of how much time and money? I am putting it into this to get myself ready I don’t think you can comprehend
