6. Barbarian Link: don’t go to any settlements or back to the Great Plateau. Get what you need from the wild and from shrines. Beware of the limited access to Goddess statues! 7. Village Themed: Pick one of Kakariko, Hateno, Zora’s Domain, Goron City, Rito Village or Gerudo Town. Don’t go to the settlements of any other group. This dramatically limits your armour options and means you can have at most one champion’s power. This mixes really well with a no shrine run too.

Prior to this video, I have been using teleportation less and it is a lot more fun to just go on the Zero bike. I also fight a lot, but only high tier enemies or lynels with either crushers or one handed blade (I hate the spear ones). Their drops are useless, but at least they are extremely easy and quick to kill, even with no armor equipped

My favorite challenge has always still gotta be the 3 hearts challenge. You're not allowed to get any extra hearts, which extends to heart containers, gold heart food and Mipha's grace. I also have a rule against using fairies. BotW actually has a mechanic where if you're at full hearts, you can never be one-shot by enemies, UNLESS you're on master mode. So doing three hearts on master mode is one of the most grueling, difficult challenges I've gone through, as enemies remain a threat throughout the game even when I'm great at combat. Definitely recommend if anyone feels like it; the only downsides is no master sword unless you use glitches, and some areas are particularly annoying(beating Ganon was frustrating to say the least, he's very punishing). However I had to go about playing the game in a completely different way.

You could get the master sword then go to the statue at Hateno and put your heart containers in, or do the campfire glitch.

The game is actually definitely fun to play without teleporting! Like if there's somewhere you need to go that's far you can just travel there by foot, and who knows, you might be able to find some koroks on the way. And my horses never get neglected, I think I use my main horse more than the master cycle. And I think I'm a pacifist and didn't really realize it, I'm just always avoiding the enemies even if it means climbing on a skull to hide. 😂 I think I should definitely try getting more serious about no teleportation and just maybe fight enemies more.

i don't teleport anymore, with some exceptions I've made so I can enjoy the game a bit more without just instatravelling anywhere on the map. For example, if I'm in Hateno and staying there for a few days I allow myself to teleport to major settlements (Zoras Domain, Gerudo Town, Rito Village, and Goron City) because I love cooking in the game and I want ingredients for curries and pies and such. Also for the eventide endless arrow exploit, but thats not really fast travel so much as warping to the same location over & over I've found that I tend to avoid fighting enemies early game as a result. I'm almost always on my way to do Something and I dont have time to engage in unnecessary combat & still make it to that goddamn memory on the literal other end of the map before 3AM irl. Cause this playthrough I'm Also getting all the memories in chronological order, meaning no master sword until i do everything base game main storyline

The permibreak weapons seems really interesting, I haven’t heard of that style before. It would cause you to use a lot different techniques though, optimizing your attack style to a T. Also… Korak leaf will be the most powerful weapon

I forgot to add also to play the game as a class for example... You can be a mage and only use magic stuff like rods, fire, ice arrows as they are magic (actual fire arrows look different) ect. If you wanna be futuristic, only guardian items by far my favorite but you need alot if money for those guardian arrows though... u may use runes and technology with one so i think teporting is ok Hylian route is the more tradional link way bow and arrows, bomb arrows, swird and shields only Bowmaster only bows Spear only spears, to add a little spice only fight with your horse with spears Long swords if u wanna play the cloud strife rlute or fierce deity route hehe Always keep a boomerang, korok leaf, and torch with you ;) Ill come back if i have more ideas

i dont like to create arbitrary rules, but heres a suggestion, if you already have a file on master quest, you can start a new game and not use the save feature so that you wont delete your file, that way you have to rely only on auto save, what makes dying a bit more punishing and you cant save whenever you feel like anymore, that will make you think twice before engaging with enemies

These ideas are so cool! I actually wanna try these

1. Playing BotW without teleporting improves the experience for sure. I only play without fast travel now and regret using it on my first playthrough as it would have made the experience even better. When BotW comes out will play with no fast travel from the start. 2. This is just a default for me. 3. Conflicts with 2 so will skip this one.🙃

Im already playing no teleporting with pro hud for over 100 hours and its still as fun

My favorite challenge is unlocking all the towers as fast as possible. It helps me get better at windbombing (although I'm still not great lol)

I like the first idea of not teleporting at all and the permadeath too... actually i think that one is easy with miphas blessing I would like to add to only heal with 4 to 6 type of food like in older type of zelda games in your inventory... No climbing... unless u really have to No stamina upgragrades unless u want too its ok Only get 3 perma sets choose wisely (u can add an extra one as links starter clothes aka the hylian set or the knight set) Only get one type of sword, shield, and bow in your inventory at a time... if you want a new one you need to have the same in everyslot Paragliding is ok No use of runes outside shrines except bombs Not use or even get the champion orbs Only can get one type of horse at a time Wolf link is acceptable if you want a little buddy by your side adventuring

For my second run of Master Mode (which was very recent). I did a No Fast Travel run, because I wanted to use my Horse more.

No teleporting when farming Lynels is too hard 😭

I'm almost done a permadeath run! It wasn't supposed to be permadeath, I just haven't died yet- I have almost full hearts, almost every shrine, every divine beast finished, I'm basically ready to go to Ganon! This is also my second time playing through the game-

I've done no teleporting + pro hud on master mode and it's been a lot of fun

I usually play with a combination of the first and second, it’s pretty fun

After I played Dark souls, which does not feature a map and (until later) no teleportation. I tried the same for BOTW (so no teleportation and only look at the map when necessary) and I gotta say I had a blast, I got to enjoy the nice views more and interacted with things and NPCs I never knew existed before. But at one point I got a little impatient and just taught myself windbombing XD

I've stopped using teleportation and am traveling on foot everywhere cause I love the koroks and am trying to find all of them before I restart So far I've found over 800

After finishing the game I have tried to go more places on horseback but Permadeath would make me RAGE

So combine all of them for ultimate experience? But how do I combine pacifist and murderer???
