Penelope Haberdasher is a great character name.
Thanks for the video. The first time we fought a monster, we had a good setup with a firing line and our scout flushed out an ogre, but nobody could roll to put any damage through, EXCEPT for our follower we just upgraded to hero the previous turn. This follower was the butt of all the jokes; was simultaneously the ditz and the nerd of our squad. But for 3 turns in a row she was the only character who successfully pushed damage through, and she ended up soloing the entire ogre! We've since upgraded her with superior gear and now she's a tank!
Jay finding those berries tell me that this is gonna be another campaign full of cocaine and leeches. Let the good times roll!
I haven’t played this yet, but reading through the game rules and campaign rules, it reminds me of something like a Lone Wolf game book played out in 3D on the table.
Dope. Looking forward to Jay's characters hopped up on Gummiberry Juice, it's going to be amazing.
Star Troll!
These are great Ash! Love that troll
Love the push-pull mechanics of the melee combat. This, plus the lethality of combat makes it more exciting when you do get ahead.
Always pick the sword unless you can pick the troll, then pick the troll.
Thanks for bringing games like these to our attention Ash! Hope to see more videos like this.
Cool - you got to use the troll figure early doors! Now to progress onwards in true murder hobo style, hopped up on goofballs and full of righteous zeal!
Great session report. Looks like a great cooperative experience!
Cheech hopped up on gummyberry juice will be some epic slaughter!
I don't think you can run out of ammo on the first shot you fire.

That's true. If it happens on the first shot it doesn't count. Also, on the first campaign turn you're meant to skip the preparation stage and go straight to the adventuring stage.
A hard fight those Trolls. My first turn. Rolled for event. Got lost and had to set up camp. End of turn
Going to do something with 'Fiver Parsecs from Home' with my kids like this. (I just have more Scifi terrain :) ) Thanks for the inspiration!

@@sumerandaccad there are currently 213 videos in the Five Parsecs from Home playlist, which blows my mind.
I love 5 charts from the charted lands! -no really, I do!
Been waiting for this! stoked! Can’t wait for the next ep
Ordered the book, this looks great!
Been looking forward to this one. Game looks like it's great for solo role play...
Hey, love y’all’s content. I just wanted to point out for y’all’s game that when overcoming the tough roll, if the total roll is over the tough characteristic, the model instantly dies (except for monsters of course). You only get wounded when the roll is under the tough characteristic, unless that roll is a one. Also, will in not finite and is regained at the end of a game. Honestly, it’s a kinda broken mechanic for humans who are the only race allowed to get more than one points of will. I have a character (avatar) who has 3 points of will and it allows him to dominate during engagements with the flexibility that will points provide. I would recommend taking as many will points as possible on all your human characters, it is worth the investment.

I think its alright that Will regens because this game looks fatal af. I am excited to see how I runs when I get my models together though.
Cool!
Clarifying for myself. At 24:16 while the enemy was stunned, is it possible for it to become the attacker? I’ve been interpreting “If a Stunned character must fight a melee exchange, they automatically become the Defender” as a stunned character is always the defender for the rest of the phase regardless of rolls Edit: reading more on page 182 it also looks like these monsters cannot be stunned from any source, and that they all may Counterattack 😳. These beasts are legit
Love the map you created for this world. Did you use something to generate it? I am looking for something to create a map for my own game :)

I generated it with pencils and my brain!

Nice job aha...not everyone is as skilled. I wanted to cut corners rather than putting my pen and paper skills to the test. I have found some generators but your map is still way nicer.
How did you figure out how many models on the table for coop? Did you just agree how to make up the normal 6?

We each made full warbands and then each basically used half in each scenario.
Where do the giant trees come from? And why would I knock them over every game?
Doesn't the 'out of ammo' rule say if only a 1 is rolled? and does not apply to the first-shot of the game'? Unless I missed something, old-girl should still have arrows in later turns. Just sayin'.
Thanks for the video Ash. Sadly, as I see, this is not a game for me. Too much of book-keeping, going through all these tables to have in the end a single fight against one oponent?! Yeah, 35 minutes for one combat is a little bit too much. ;) Also all these moves back and forth in the combat with 3 rolls for each strike (with various bonuses that changes constantly - bonus to fight, bonus against armor, bonus against toughness, stunned, wounded, something else) - on paper that may look interesting, but in reality it makes each combat so long.
Excellent video, I can't believe the battle went that smoothly for you. Hope you continue the campaign and we get to see more 5L content.
