Hey! I'm 30 and have osteonecrosis in my hips and knees and probably more joints. I was wondering how this affects (if it does) your knees? I see there's a slight bend in the knee and occasional squats here. I was wondering if you're able to take that strain? I'm on a wheelchair too, but I hope to start this when i recover, whenever that may be (or if lol hopefully)
Her personality is so fun and bubbly you can’t help but have fun when you follow along! She’s a great teacher and I wish we could be friends!
I never would be the person to get up and start damcing along but i did, great video, great energy and great way of teaching too
That clock drawing really helps trainees learn easy. good job, good instructor.
I love how she uses an imaginary clock to keep everyone in step. Fantastic tutorial!💯🙏🏼👑🌺💎👠💕

Loved the use of the clock. Made it so much easier then left and right. :)
I love african music so much. The beat is awesome
I am 13 years old.I have been watching you doing the African dance but I tried to keep up.Finally I got it and I say thanks for your help.
She’s adorable 😍. Full of energy and very charismatic. Great fitness for the body and soul. Thank you, Mercy Beaucop, Gracias ☺️ 🙏🏻 😊
Look these people were born dancing. They have shake, rhythm, beat and everything.
I am 63 yrs old and I am going to start💃dancing African.. I love it... you and the talented young man playing the congas..I am Spanish so I still have some hip actions..thank you for helping and sharing your Beautiful culture with us. To be continued..God bless you all..PS...THE TWO YOUNG GUYS WERE PRETTY GREAT..YOU HAVE A GREAT TEACHER..❤🎶🎵🥁
I LOVE this video! African dance is NOT easy to do, you need to be fit to do this. It's beautiful. Love from Amanda in Australia ❤️
Magnificent! Too late to start now but tomorrow for sure. Love that clock system. So original and so chic. Great lesson and lovely people.
She is so cute and has the most beautiful giggle 😃 I will definitely include this routine into my exercise... and the drum guy is so happy to see her dancing African style! ❤
Oh, it's so hard to make a serious face with such a positive teacher! ))))
Think my phone can read my mind. I saw this video about 2 or more years ago and wanted to recreate it, for a long time for the children. Low and behold, here it is. I can't believe it. Guess what, I'm saving it this time. Thank you very much. 😍
I'm nearly 70 and haven't been dancing in about 10 years, though I did African dances from West Africa in my 30s. I started this and can only do 5 minutes before I'm breathing heavily. But I'll be doing it until I can do the whole routine. Love this, love your teaching methodology, and if I were still dancing, I'd dance over to the drummer and touch the ground in tribute. Ashe. Thank you for this. Perfection.
that wasso much fun! The clock idea makes everything so much easier. RUJEKO YOU ARE A GREAT INSTRUCTOR, THANK YOU!
Thank you SO much! I have a learning difficulty & everything about your dance video is a great help: the visual clock, your vocal direction of 'left to 6 ...etc'. & the two camera view are amazing! Best wishes to you.
The best way to learn this dance🎉Thank you so much🙏

I keep on coming back it's wonderful to do with others as well, love it!!!
I am a teacher and this video is by far my favorite for teaching kids simple African Dance movements. The clock analogy is priceless with helping them keep the beat, remembering the clock and telling time but most importantly....having fun learning African Dance.
Rujeko I enjoyed so much . Please keep teaching us in this simple way. God bless u. 😊🙏
I love africans dance and culture. Thank you for your classes. SPAIN.
The student in black is enjoying it and the other student is still learning. Rujeko is a great teacher.

Thank you so much for making this. My husband and I just did this and it was a great way to start with the basics with your wonderful energy and clear guidance. Great fun - we’re off!,, 🙏🦋
I’m really enjoying it. Brings out the joy while I sweat it out to the beat. Great lesson!
At uni a white former classical ballerina got into African/Cuban type dance and gathered a troup of dancers who loved all these African inspired rhythms and just watching them enjoy dancing and all these unusual rhythms got me hooked too, and when invited to join in, I jumped at the opportunity. I had never experienced anything like this before. It felt like a nature force owns and commands your body, not you or your mind and the rhythm tells it what move to do next. It is very liberating, emotionally and, of course, keeps you very fit. I would have done it forever but, sadly, that troupe wandered around a lot and soon moved on. And there was nowhere to do this sort of dancing. With dance, I thought no you really do need to feel inspired and motivated by the music. Some dance music is just so boring and uninspiring. It needs a good rhythm, some sort of grace or excitement etc, whether it be fast or slow, traditional or modern. African music has very good rhythms and actually is the basis for our western rock style music, with its distinctive driving beat. I think it hot in via the earlier negro blues musicians descended from Africa, which then gave us jazz which eventually gave us the basis for earlier rock music styles. And, listening to some African music, I was surprised and how it sometimes sounded like our western jazz and rock styles, even though it was traditional African folkloric style music. It sounded strangely and pleasantly modern, though the songs and dances were very old ones passed down through tr ibal generations.
Thank you so much! Great teacher. I was able to learn it because you go slow and repeat often. Really enjoyed it!
i knew i always appreciated the african culture.. the clock format is genius.

I really enjoyed the teaching on the African clock. Thanks for teaching me something new that I could do. It was fun.
Life was good when this video was released.
It is awesome ma'am.. I am from India working as a teacher. I wanted to introduce African dance to my students. This video is really helpful for me. I promise in next annual day, I will present the same. Thanks a lot..
love dancing because it makes you feel like this woman - spirited...uplifted...happy :)
My granddaughter found this channel and I loved it. Just wish it was longer. Have to find more!
Thanks for the idea with the clock-it´s great! Perfect for teaching kids (with restrictions) and adults too!
I am so glad I came across this. Good, fun exercise. Rujeko, I love your energy.

Thank you! I had sooo much fun! I love your clock method. Simplifies it so there is more time spent on learning in fun than any pre-thoughts of not being able to dance African dance, but we all know the clock. Even the dancer in your background in the white shirt could keep up with your clock method. You remind me of Viola Davis, Strong, Dark, and Lovely~
I really enjoyed that. As another commentator mentioned, the "clock" concept is awesome. Will commit to learning it.
Loved this video. I could do all of the moves w/o instruction just by watching, however its nice to see it broken down with a clock as an metaphoric example.
This is great. I just did it this morning...I'm eager to find more from her. Thank you.
You are a true teacher because you break down the steps slowly and then speed them up. I just went on a Salsa dance site that said it was beginner, but the instructor just assumed you knew how to do all the steps and then sped them up. Not good! So thank you! Fun dance...looking forward to more.
All my attention.... to the drummer👏👏👏👏👏 I was about to start dancing even though I'm on bed it's almost 1:00 am😂

Awesome African sauce!!!! LOL This was so much fun. I love the light hearted attitude of the instructor when she misses a step, she moves on without missing a beat on teaching.
Hey Rujeko, that was absolutely fantastic and uplifting. I shall be joining local classes forthwith! :-)
I LOVE IT!!!!!! One of my extracurriculars was AFRICAN DANCE and this is exactly how I trained a long time ago back in my academic school days at St. Augustine's. BRAVO GIRL Thumbs Up!!!!

Thank you. Excellent. i got to experience african dance as an 18 year old and have returned as a 62 year old. Have been unsure what areas of dance I learned. This is close...I remember many flat footed, flat hand pushing type movements
