I did research on this band for a school project and I found out that a solider came up to one of the band member’s during a tour and handed him a burnt iPod and the story he told the band member made me cry that iPod was his friend’s that died in war and the last song that was played on the iPod was “The Bleeding.”

Man that's awesome, as another opiate addict in recovery I know the hardship and struggle of it. Keep going strong man, don't let up. It gets easier with time but also after a while you seem to lose that "drive" for continuing the extensive process of recovery..almost like reaching a plateau of sorts. Never let up man, keep in touch with positive people, not only people in recovery but anybody that is willing to support you on the never ending uphill battle that is recovery. I've never listened to heavy metal and have always considered it an inferior substitute for rock. But this group and this song, like many of their others songs, hits me like a lightning bolt. But especially to the 2 psycho meth head, coke head, alcoholic, girlfriends that I made the mistake of going with, The Bleeding hits me like a supernova. I don't think I've ever heard a song where the musical, theme and voice elements are in such perfect harmony or have such an impact. Freaking incredible!!!

This song is badass!! This was the first song I ever heard from FFDP back in 2009 I believe. Im a one time felon, wrongfully labled as a sex offender by the unjust system. Yet you don't here of me thinking about suicide, etc. Because I don't live with guilt. I have nothing to feel guilty about.

This reminds me of so many damn people. . . But my two ex's, and one person that's still in my life come to mind especially. Thankfully not physical abuse, but emotional, and mental abuse from all of them, and even sexual abuse from the first one. . .
