FIVE ESSENTIAL REPEATING GUITAR LICKS for ROCK and BLUES.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Trying to stay away from the cliche licks whilst using the pentatonic is NOT easy. Hopefully with these five licks, you will be able to move just a little away from those said licks. Although demonstrated with a pretty fast feel to these they can be played well and be just as effective at most tempos. With that in mind you could used them over most genre types. Have fun and get stuck in.

Great licks, Danny! For anyone thinking they're taking on too much? I'm 74 with serious arthritis & I'm mainly a keyboard player who dabbles seriously on guitar, daily, so don't be afraid to dive in & commit, Guys! Repetition is the mother of mastery! I'll keep going till I kick the breathing habit! 🤣👍🏻
These are some very cool licks Danny. I think they will sound unique to the listener which is always my aim. Thanks for this.
Thank you for all your awesome tutorials!
Thank you. Thank you for constantly doing these
I've seen a couple other similar vids doing minor variations of these riffs. Picking up on the different variations, then deciding my favorites, will be what helps me create my style/sound. Your video is helping me expand, which I believe is your objective. Thank you, Sir.
Nice job! In learning the initial lick (for example) I first just hit the notes until I get comfortable with the fingering/feelings. Then I add the bend until that feels fluid. Then I work in the pull off. Then off course try to increase the speed.
Great video! Thank you for this!
Been looking for one like this...very nice

It the whole thing is daunting, try and take smaller licks out from the main one. It helps in building the confidence
This is a really good video that cuts through the phonies on KZread and gets to some core blue licks. Thank you for this fine video

Thanks.. I usually set everything to pretty much 12 o'clock and adjust a little either side of that. But that's it really.
The first lick is in Mr crowley just few frets higher. Good Bluesy lick for practicing and warming up.

Danny, could u say how did u learn to play especially what if it wasnt the licks u showed what were u playing to learn to play?

Hi, I learnt most of what I know through jamming with others and learning licks from those I was playing with. I would ask my teachers to show me how to play parts of solos or a particular lick. My last teacher, a guy called Dave Kilminster (who now plays for Roger Waters) said to learn at least one new lick every week to place in the lick vocabulary of your mind, from that you will build some killer solos or phases. The theory side of things came much later, as to be honest, I had zero interest in the theory and only to try to play like my hero’s of the guitar world. Still working on all aspects and it never gets boring.
Nice vid. Led me to your home page where it looks like lots more. Will stick with you as a new sub.

Work it very slow and make sure you always pick the loop the same way.
Also how to play like Ace Frehley
U explained lick 1 and 3 different but the fast version is the same 😅

Yep I did. It needed a bloody good cut though!! So I got a shorter than anticipated cut!
I am slow 😢
They're 'a bit run of the old mill' brother, I like the idea of 'to each their own' but they become boringly cliche'd all going around the same rate of tempo, venture out a bit in the feel department, it took me years to break the filthy habit of choofin' around like a commoner.....great vid though!

They are standard cliche licks mate. Same track to keep it simple and easy to learn. Once you’ve learnt them, the fun begins.
