I used two-part car body filler when decorating and blocking up multiple holes in the plasterboard. The result was, and still is flawless nearly 4 years later. Love the underfloor heating set up.

Brilliant video once again mate. Osmo topic and howdens engineered doors..I've used Danish oil from screwfix with absolutely no problems. Even suggested it to my customers who I've fitted doors for and they have used it 🤷 anyway I know a lot would do as you've done after reading the instructions. Probably why us blokes usually bin them 😅 House is coming on great, shame about the carpets. Looking forward to seeing the finished project 👍

Yet another great vid Adam. Love the quality of the work combined with brilliant humour. The house looks amazing so far and it’s going to be awesome once finished. Shame about the carpets but these things unfortunately do happen. I very rarely get annoyed when things don’t do to plan and you seemed relatively cool about it too. The work they did so far including the stairs underlay looks really good. Mind your feet on those bare grippers though 😮 I had a similar incident regarding quotes: I wanted three radiators moved together with two more being fitted. The two quotes came in at £1200 and £350 (I supplied everything) you do wonder if the higher one is just trying their luck. Keep up the great content Adam and I look forward to the next instalment.

Lovely to see it all coming together Adam, even if it's three steps forward and one back. As far as the people who don't care for you doing promo work, don't lose sleep over them. If they're not happy to watch a free video of all the works and how you went about them; including errors and issues; then they should just shut the feck up and do one !!! I don't reckon that new tap will pass the "missus" test though... good luck !

Reference your in-house wood store plans. We had one either side of the fire place but were advised to minimise the amount of wood held in doors - it can contain a lot of mould spores and creatures, even if kiln dried it’s still exposed to some potential nasties. Just something to consider - we just bring in what we need for a day or two’s usage. Our outdoor wood store keeps the wood dry enough to burn without any issues.

Be careful using Patio Magic and similar products like Pro Kleen. The active ingredient is biocide Benzalkonium chloride and should not be sprayed without suitable breathing safety gear. I clean my drive once a year with it and used to spray it - until I ended up with ulcers on my fingers and back/lung ache a few days after use. Had to treat ulcers with Hydrocortisone cream. Now I use double gloves and only sprinkle from a watering can. I never use a spray now. It took 2 or 3 times to figure out what caused the skin ulcers and solved it when I associated them occurring a few days after drive cleaning.

  • @george9710

You should watch out with patio cleaners. Your render looks like it's old cement render so it should be fine but a lot of the cleaners will damage silicone render so you're better off with a fungicidal wash if don't know what the render actually is. Your real problem here is that your walls are absorbing water which is what cement typically does. You should clean the render and then seal the outside of your walls with a clear masonry sealer to stop this problem from coming back. Sealers are typically breathable so there's no problem there. If you don't seal your wall, the wash will work for a bit (maybe you get a year if you're lucky) and then you'll have to wash the house again. A sealer tends to last 10-15 years.

Third party measures and gets it wrong, third party pays to put it right, simples. We had the same with our bedrooms, most expensive (our bedroom) was measured to front of alcove rather than back resulting in a seem / join. Fitters rejected it and carpet supplier had to replace it, took 3 - 4 days to sort which meant I had a few days to fully decorate rather than doing it afterwards 👍🏻

Haha! No! It's an independent place not far from me. I've had loads of flooring from them in the past and they've been as good as gold, never had carpet though. It happens mate, it's just a shame that's all.

Wrong - and so, so, so widely misunderstood. L-Class and M-Class filtration is 100% identical in every respect. Both filter to 3 microns - the HEPA standard. The only difference between the two machines is that M-Class machines are fitted with an airflow sensor and audible alarm which alerts the user to either a full bag or a clogged filter. Zero difference otherwise. If you need better filtration, you'll need an H-Class machine which filters down to 0.1 micron (ULPA standard)

@@mrabuilders6723 I thought both teams were 'off' I was gutted we lost, but we could have won it too, but considering we were relegation candidates a year ago and Leicester were in the Premier league and champions a few years back, it wasn't really that bad of a result, we just need to get rid of the current owner and hope the new one doesn't have sewn up pockets.
