It’s actually nice to see someone masking up before they start cutting & grinding. I was in the motor trade all my working life Mel, 51 yrs. you’d be surprised how many customers we had who’ve actually done this and a few weeks after we’re at our counter asking us about these small sharp rusty lumps in their vans paint. It was hot metal burnt into it. Well done Mel, top of the class. PS the KZreadrs don’t do it either when showing how to fit glass.

Best video to me so far .. and he is taking care of his job rather showing off his tools. Well done.

Good man Mel! perfect timing. I'll be fitting a sliding door window to my van soon but guaranteeing a decent day weather wise up here in Scotland is a tricky science. KZread is great to see things applied in real life rather than reading a printed set of instructions. Much appreciated!

It’s sooooo refreshing to see someone actually protecting the bodywork properly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 You could have made it a tiny bit easier to know where to bond by holding the window in place and then drawing a pencil line around the opening from the inside (obviously that makes it a two person job 😏)

Lol, how is any water going to get to the iner seal trim when the sealer that bonds the glass to the vehicle prevents that happening. That u trim is just to finish the job off. 👍

Yeah cracking job by Liam although If water gets past the bond its going to leak wherever the rubber join is👍

Had camping glass on my transit .won't use it again the rer windows had a different curve to the front ones and never looked right.

You inspire me to finish building the van I have always wanted I got a 1980 dodge camper van I'm converting into an 80s boogie van. I doing the opposite and filling the windows that were cut out back up lol. Don't need people seeing inside shagging wagon lol. Plus no windows it's stealth.

A nice little tip you did but didn’t mention was having the sliding window open to give you a better hand hold! Wish I’d done that on mine, would have made it easier!

At 8:30 them 3 raised ridges are annoying as it bridges the gap along it meaning a thick bead is needed😏

Nice job Mel. Never understood why people don't make a wood framed, body coloured lap/serving tray with the metal they remove.
