I think the reason Virgil doesn't feel like he fits in any house because the houses sum up the best characteristics of a person, and anxiety is a generally negative emotion. He doesn't see himself as having any good characteristics, so he doesn't see himself as fitting with any of the positive traits that make up each house

Ironically, I think Pathos is Roman. Given that pathos also refers, specifically, to a noble and upright emotionality. Being inspirational, motivational. Emotion that brings connection. And Patton, after all, was introduced first as Morality, another word for Ethos, and only slowly developed the explicit character of being Thomas' emotions.

@@sourwitch2340 Thomas and Joan confirmed that Logan was named for Logos while Patton was named for Pathos as the two of them are a dichotomy for each other, being the mind and the heart. Roman was named for the Romantic era and Virgil's name was picked to have a similar vibe with Roman and they found Virgil which means to be vigilant. Funnily enough, because of their explanation, I thought Deceit's name was gonna be Ethan to be after Ethos and ethical debates as he does verge on a lot of ethics in his speaking, but Janus does fit so much better

I love how since this episode is right after the name reveal, some of the sides are still adapting to Virgil’s name, switching back and forth from “Anxiety” to “Virgil” and that’s such a cool touch :D

Okay but Virgil is totally a Ravenclaw. The only drawback is that he “doesn’t solve the problem,” except, as was stated in the video, he has. Yes, by accident, or by drawing on information Thomas already knew, but that’s still solving the problem. I feel like the only real reason he rejected Ravenclaw was so that he wouldn’t fit into any, making a better video for overall plot reasons in his character development. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but I believe he is actually a Ravenclaw.

So would Janus count as a Parselmouth in the Harry Potter world? I feel like Remus would go Gryffindor due to his impulsiveness/recklessness but mainly because he would want to annoy Roman by being in the same house as him. Also, he has been shown to basically have no fear aside from soap. But I can see Ravenclaw for his intelligence. His accuracy on angles in the WWIT video to make everything line up and hit each other perfectly was amazing, plus all his knowledge of dark/creepy things. But he might possibly go Slytherin because, like Virgil, it's what is "expected" of him. But Remus would run with it and spend seven years scaring as many students as possible before working up to the professors, ghosts, and finally Peeves. Or Remus and Peeves would become BFFs and burn Hogwarts to the ground. One of the two. Depends if Janus can keep up with them to keep some level of control on the situation.

you know, i’ve watched and rewatched this series almost a ridiculous amount of times, and i just realized he was saying “neville gonna give you up..”. comedic geniuses you and your crew are :)

After some in-depth research: Roman = Slytherin - strong leader, able and willing to help anyone who needs it if it benefits him - he has determination for things he sets his mind to that will, again, benefit/help him in some way - ambitious, cunning, resourceful... Patton = Hufflepuff - I need to explain it? - he's dedicated to anything he puts his mind to that could benefit anyone - he's patient, kind, modest, fair and emotional and every once in a while he needs a shoulder to cry on Logan = Ravenclaw - look, we all know why - he's individual, works alone as to not have anyone mess anything up - he's smart, maybe not wise but you don't need to have every single trait smh - he's accepts thing with a grain of salt Virgil = Also Ravenclaw - he's individual and will work alone to avoid interaction and/or judgement on his knowledge - he's wise and intelligent. He might now be school smart but it takes some knowledge to think of complex situations of how everything could go wrong - he's creative and accepting

this series is so healing for my anxiety. the moment virgil says, "I have some concerns" and Thomas responds with, "and that's ok" in itself is so important to me.

It took me this long to realize that he was using Hogwarts houses as a metaphor for gender/ sexual identity. This is amazing and just truly great

This was the first episode of sander sides I watched and I love it, I just can’t get over this series, it is so good, the fact that I can hear a little bit of Remus in Roman’s voice, Patton, “FALSEHOOD”, the lessons and things I learn, it is all so good
