A modification I’ve always done to bullbar mounts is gusset the mounting brackets and or strengthening the chassis to reduce the fulcrum action that happens when a impact occurs. I gusseted a ARB bullbar mounting bracket on a triton, i hit a roo a few years later instead of bending the bar right back into the grill, radiator support panel etc it bent the end of the chassis. It’s a vastly overlooked design flaw with most 4x4 bullbars

Matt , just putting it out there , why don't u do plastic tiling with back fill on ur wet land , u could use tiny 1& 2 to tow a trencher and lay pipe. your yields would increase alot and the farm kit won;t get bogged down . you lads are doing really well down under , take care all of you !!

Thank you for another great video. Please be careful cutting around the batteries. Any sulfuric acid venting, mainly while charging will cause an explosion if the sparks get too close. I think someone else mentioned that.

Hole in polypipe. Wonder if there is small amount of thermal expansion and contraction going on and rubbing against just one sharp little rock ... could take years (20 maybe) to wear hole ... I've seen significant holes before but that pipe was ony buried 300mm and that took about 15 years ... would have thought 750mm deep enough to overcome thermal expansion but maybe ... the other thought we had was white ants but hole was elongated so we stuck with temperature change wear .... also looks like you have good amount of head to overcome the friction loss. Spiral ladder to antenna's - great idea!! 🙂👍

I thought our 50 Amp Miller plasma cutter was a beast that 120 Amp is definitely one that will cut some iron.

You can have that manual digging malarky.... :) I've got absolutely no use for a plasma cutter, but I need to start working on the wife to let me buy one I think. That looks the go to me.

with the plasma if you are blowing a hole into plate for a hole you can drill a small where your going to start to avoid blow back and blowing a tip out or hold the nozzle on an angle can help also but a small hole is best and to cut a circle get a bit of pipe that's bigger than the hole you need to cut by the diameter of the cutting head and use it as a cutting template to run the cutting head on.

I don't know what is in those gas bottles Peter, but if I were you I'd shift them away when all those sparks are flying. Good to see all the green now that rain has been more regular.

You need to preheat plate for a better cut because of the thickness also you could make a jig to cut the circle Just a helpful tip Love your work guys and the 2 tinies

Has that ute got air bags? The air bags will still go off if something hits the bull bar? Once the air bags go off the ute is undriveable?

Certainly Isuzu country in your neck of the woods mate, I have a MY18 LS-U dmax and opted for the TJM outback bar scrub rails and steps and it looks really similar to that EFS and I don’t have the really durable finish, found the TJM scratches really easy going past trees and what not. Looks like the same 63mm tube too? What’s been your experience with the Isuzu’s and old shape Colorado’s? Ive not had anything major trouble yet (touch wood) in the 75000km we’ve done and it’s seen some hard work.

Hi mate, we have had a really good run out of the dmax/Colorado utes👍 we originally were going for a arb bullbar but opted for Efs as the arbs were difficult to get😁 pretty impressed with the efs setup so far

@@thejacksonbrothers great to hear mate, IMO the ARB’s don’t quite suit the front ends because the hoops obstruct the DRL at the top of the headlamps of the modern Isuzus, reckon you’ve picked a winner, good stuff!

Re cutting the grouser plate holes, I'd advise to get a jig setup that you can clamp down, then just run the torch around inside the hole in the jig. Also, re the AC gas tanks, probably move them away from 'hot areas' (sparks). If AC gas burns, it turns into incredibly nasty stuff (like mustard gas!....).
