Hi Joel, nice video. I notice you have quite a small battery fitted. With 540CCA. I'm (hopefully) just at the end of rebuilding and fitting the engine to my 2.4d and found that the battery that came with the van was duff (probably from sitting for so long). When I checked online, it said that an 019 is the battery needed for the van. I've ordered one from ebay for £67.95 with next day delivery. It has 920CCA and is 100Ah. As you have a Halfords battery fitted, the HB019 from Halfords is only 800CCA and is £113. I just thought I would mention it in case you were thinking of replacing the battery any time soon.

MarcBolan3 Oh thanks for this information. I have to admit I got lazy and just replaced the old battery with the same model from Halfords. I’ll definitely take this into account when I next have to buy one!

You could, and it would work, but not recommended because the wiring/fuse is designed to work with your stereo and not an additional component

I wish you had compared the volt meter in the dash with the values on a multimeter at the battery to see if the values were the same or not. I question how accurate these dash volt meters actually are...ie., done a comparison test with a multimeter prior to installation to make sure it was accurate. Do you think you would get different values if you connected the dash volt meter to the fuse box under your dash?

behave, it works fine and there is no issue going to the battery and switching it also what's the big deal with a piece of wood, it does the job. I'm lucky enough to have a 3d printer and print my surroundings etc but if you don't have one you just make do and a piece of wood works fine.
