Good job! Great choice for the Top Force. I got the TFU on one of mine too, with the TBLE-02S and TBLM-02S 10.5T. Seems to do the job although I am not a big fan of the double sided tape on an ESC.

Thanks mate. Ah, a 10.5t! Someone else was asking if the TBLE-02S will handle a 10.5T, I can let him know it does! 🙂. I agree, when I looked at the instructions and saw the double sided tape I thought "Really??". 🤣

RC Hobby Shed Yeah, Tamiya works in mysterious ways sometimes. First time I’ve seen a fan attached with double sided tape ☺️ But it seems to work ... Yeah, the ESC does alright with the fan and the motor. Not hot. But Tamiya recommends a not too high gearing. Not sure if it’s just Tamiya. They are always very cautious and conservative.

That fan kit looks really tidy.👌🦘🇦🇺

@@RCHobbyShed Judging by the comments it can handle a fairly low turn brushless motor with your fan fitted ! It'd be worth experimenting. This is going to be good mate 👍

I run these on 3s all day on a 13.5 sensored motor..The fan keeps it from going into thermal mode..Great upgrade.

I think these mounts for this one a really specific to the TBLE-02S. I think a better option for you might be the Yeah Racing Tornado fan #YA-0180. 👍

My experience with this esc is that it cannot handle the 10.5 motor or anything over a 2S battery even on a stock silver can. The TBLE-02 will run the 10.5 but its very glitchy, for example my setup was basically sticking at high throttle for a split second when the throttle was applied causing control issues. Its strange that I have read about others having good luck with this esc and running 13 turn brushed motors or 3S batts.... Anyone have experience with the TBLS-03S ESC?

Thanks Nathan. It seems the TBLE-02S could be a bit hit n miss with lower turn motors and 3s. Are you running a fan on yours? Others running lower turns and/or 3s seem to be running the fan.

Sorry mate, I can't say as this is a first for me. PhilthyCo RC is running a 13.5 and 17.5 on 3S with no issues but I think a 10.5T would be a little too much for it. 👍

RC Hobby Shed currently im running 15.5T tblm02 brushless motor, tble02s esc with cooling fan on 2S lipo. With 5.7 FDR. Runs great and smooth. The fan upgrade kept the esc running and never experience high temp.

I haven't run this to know if it works well yet. We've been in lock down more often than not this year. I'm sure it will at least help if you have cooling issues. 👍

Hi, do I need a Transmitter with 3 channels to successfully run the fan or will it start operating as soon as I pug the esc on

2 channel is fine. It will start when you turn the ESC on. 👍

@@leezodeezo1173 No, no transmitter action is needed. It takes it's power from the receiver, so it turns on/off with the ESC. It can be plugged into any of the remaining unused sockets on the receiver. EG: the Batt or Bind socket. 👍

It's not perfect. I have had it the one in my Fire Dragon overheat with the RZ, but it's right to go again after about 1 minute. That's using a 2s LiPo, it maybe fine with a NiMh battery. 👍

@@JeffersonHumber I guess it depends on where you run it. I've only run mine in an open, quite smooth gravel area. It hit thermal cut on me but as I say, it's all good after a minute or so. On a rough surface or grass I'm sure it will be worse. If you're not already running one, a capacitor pack might solve your HW limp mode issues. I think they're quite cheap. 👍

@@JeffersonHumber Ahh ok. Yeah I've never used them on mine 1060's. Maybe adding a fan to the 1060 might be a good option. I've not done that but I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult.

I'm not sure what they call the bracket itself apart from a bracket and I don't think they sell it separately. The fan unit is a Tamiya TFU-01 ESC Cooling Fan Unit, part number 45063. 👍

would be a nice upgrade if they weren't perpetually out of stock...

A lot of Tamiya products are out of stock worldwide at the moment. There are a few of these fans on eBay right now but at ridiculous prices . Hopefully things get back to normal soon. 🤞
