Just got my Versa 2 a couple of days ago. ** Here's what they are not telling you.** (1) To use Alexa you must have the Fitbit app open on your phone nearby. Alexa won't function on the Versa 2 unless you have the phone app open.(UPDATE 2020: Now you don't have to have the Fitbit app open on your phone, for Alexa to work on Versa 2. BUT you must still have your phone nearby. Alexa does require interaction with the phone in order work on Versa 2.) (2) You can download music from your playlists (music that you already own), or you can use one of the music apps that require a paid subscription. You can NOT stream Amazon music at all. You can NOT stream free music like on the Pandora app. Music streamed from apps is subscription only. That said, I do love my Versa 2. Hope this is helpful.

Finally I have the answer on how it works with Alexa. I can ask Google faster then having to open the app for the Alexa. Oh well. It's still a nice watch all in all. I bought the black one for my husband and he is thrilled with it.

This is the Fitbit I have, one year of wearing it and there are still NO scratches on the screen. I'm positively impressed, the options it has really fit my needs. I've used Fitbit since 2015 and this is the best product from them I've owned. No regrets!

I just got one and I enjoy it. Some of the apps are outdated a bit and either don’t work and aren’t supported, or are a little buggy. But it’s an upgrade from the charge 2!

One of the better reviews I have seen , comprehensive in the feature improvements to previous version, where others are stuck trying to compare a apple watch and thus missing what everything the versa 2 brings

I just got the Fitbit Versa 2. I love it. I don’t use any of the apps. I don’t need to use them. I have a phone to use apps with. I also have a brand new Apple Watch that I don’t wear because my Fitbit gives me better heart rate reading. I also didn’t use the texting or notification or apps on my Apple Watch. I think all of that is a distraction. I have those watched for the health but my Fitbit is the most accurate. And i know this because i was in the hospital several times this last month and I purposely wore both my Fitbit very 2 and Apple Watch. My heart rate on the hospital machines and my heart rate on FBV2 always matched. Apple Watch was always off by 20 or more points. So i stick to my FBV2! If you need all the apps then use the Apple Watch. I don’t care for all of that.

I just bought the Versa 2, after the Charge 3 died on me after 3 months (!) and I must say, the Versa 2 looks waaaaay better than the Charge 3. Let's hope this one doesn't die on me 🤔 I've been wearing it for a week now, but I didn't know yet how many things you can actually do with it, so thanks for this video, it saves me the time to actually read the manual 👍🏻😋

Great informative educational video, I’ve been on the fence deciding on whether to take the plunge and invest on a smart watch and after watching your video I’ve bought myself one today. I bought a Fitbit charge 2 years ago, wore it once and then it lived in my drawer for 2 years. I just started wearing it religiously because I work in a bakery and I’m constantly checking the time and now I’m obsessed with my Fitbit. I love being able to see my heart rate calories burned steps taken I think I’m going to upgrade to the versa 2 soon and gift my charge 2 to a coworker

Really informative video. I was not sure which Fit Bit to purchase but your video helped.

Great info. My mom asked me if I wanted an upgrade to my old Charge 2. She researched and saw that it is on sale tomorrow. After watching this, I can't wait for Christmas.

For anyone who wants a DIY fix for the charging port (but once it's done it's done), use Milli Put to fill in the empty space and to feed the cable out the back so it's then flush. It won't look great but you can paint it black to match and leave it. Milli Put is a two part Epoxy putty which plumbers use to temporarily fix burst pipes, but because of its plastine like consistency model makers use it a lot as well!

I had the Versa first, then when they upgraded it to Versa 2 I initially had issues getting messages and it was becoming a hassle. Then there was an update and I figured out how to ensure i was continually getting my messages and it all just fell into place! I absolutely love this watch!

Hey, does it have to be connected with your phone to use it? I know i need the fitbit app but does it works with Bluetooth or Wifi?

@Dena You just have to connect it to your phone threw Bluetooth for the app, no wifi necessary. The watch will still keep track of your steps, calories and everything else even when your not near your phone though... Example... I've gone out walking without my phone and the watch still kept track of everything and then when I got home it updated it to the app automatically... Honestly I rarely use the app, the only time I use it is to get new backgrounds for my watch and to check my sleep schedule once a week! I got this watch in May of 2020 and it still works perfectly, I do have to charge it more often now but that's to be expected with any electronic over time! It is 100% worth it though! Sorry for the long message lol..

Great review. I have a Versa Lite that gave up the ghost! I'm thinking of getting the Versa 2 and wondered, since the bands are interchangeable, can I also use the Versa Lite Charger with the Versa 2?

I have had mine about 2 or 3 weeks and I absolutely love it. I had a apple watch before and I feel like the Fitbit is more mine style. I am a sucker for the petal pink lol. And oh did I forget to mention the battery is amazing 😍😍😍

I currently have a Fitbit Charge 3, and am looking to change to either Versa 2 or Versa 3, but not sure which to choose. Things i want from a Smart Watch are: - store / play Music (while working out), GPS, Sleep Monitoring, Alexa, Msg Notifications, ability to reply to msgs or accept/decline calls. Colour screen as opposed to the charge black and white, and also ability to see the screen in the sunlight, which is nearly impossible withthe Charge 3 black and white screen.

getting this for christmas and im so excited! hoping it can help keep me motivated too :)

One thing that I don't really like about the Fitbit is that the steps aren't always accurate. I play the piano, and just from playing I can gain more than 200 steps per song.

My Fitbit Versa 1 stopped working after owning it for about a year. I called Fitbit and went through there limited warranty department and now they are send me a new Versa 2 to replace my Versa 1. They were awesome and didn’t require me to send out my defective device.

That's it. I know what I want. This will be my first time buying a device of this kind. You got me smitten. Thank you so much!!

I cannot even get my new fitbit versa to turn on...

Seeing my Husband’s aunt with a Fitbit I decided I wanted some kind of smart watch but didn’t want to spend a whole lot. So I seen they had the Fitbit lite on sale and I bought it. It was great until I couldn’t buy a new clock ( no payment options on the lite) so in searching I found the Versa 2 on sale and took back the lite. So far I’m still loving it but since I do like to workout I notice there are not many free options. The subscription for premium is way too high. I have my son who I go in half with his actives and I pay membership for kickboxing. So I didn’t want to pay close to $80 ( I think it was) for a premium subscription. I think they still should give you a few free options. Also and it’s minor.. I do love the fact you can have your own pic for the clock face and I did enjoy having it but I will mention to the developer maybe they can add the battery life icon to the layout. My Fitbit was running low and I didn’t know until I looked at my phone. Other than that I love it.

Love this watch. My one complaint is the lame ass pins to change the bands! I broke 3 nails to swap bands.

I highly recommend, highly! That if you purchase this watch you get some sort of cover protection for the glass. I had it for 4 months and I loved! Loved! This watch so much and I was on a walk with my dog and I tripped and fell. Unfortunately the screen cracked and I contacted fitbit and they said there was nothing they could do about it and if I wanted to I could purchase a new one at full price....disappointed in there customer service but love the watch so much, I just cant justify paying another $250 for a new one when I only had the first one for 4 months....

I bought a set of 3 from Kimilar on Amazon. One silver, one clear, one black. They cover the buttons, rim, and screen and are made of flexible plastic. They work v well and are easy to swap in line with whatever strap you choose to wear.

There’s only one thing that Fitbit does not have and it is a screen reader so that those who are blind can experience using the Fitbit which is why I switched from Fitbit to an Apple Watch because of the talk I wish Fitbit would get on the train with being more accessible to blind folks because I like how they work and Fitbit is a little more affordable but with that being said. I love your video

is the glass on this watch tough ? I dropped my blaze and shattered the screen , and I loved that watch ! I have this one coming to me In a few days I'm excited , hope it's a good one that lasts ! I got the Vera lite but I just do not like the no showing of my floors climbed , I use the stair climber in the gym and that was an important feature for me . so I upgraded . thanks for the great review and info!

I have a question about this watch, since you previously mentioned that you can pick up phone calls through the watch, is it possible to adjust the volume? Talking about 3rd party apps, is it also possible that someone can download apps through the watch just like the apple watch? Also, does it also have the feature of typing in the watch because sometimes, professors would not like it if I were to speak through the watch mic or even have my phone out just to text someone.
