This is what Google needs for their entire portfolio, more fun, more playful, what it used to be in that 2015 golden era! It's seems really gorgeous and I don't have kids. ❤

Is this just a kids watch or can adults also use it
I bought this watch and I bought the year pass with 50% discount and a free band but I haven't got the code to redeem the band yet.

This man is asking the real questions ^
Hello Fitbit, I got your Fitbit versa 3 as a gift from my sister. I've spent two weeks trying to set it up. I've done everything, but I'm stuck on the "what are you setting up" page. It keeps telling me your website is down. Please help, I don't want to return it.

Parents beware, this watch doesn't have an automatic location tracking (you can only "request" your child's location manually) and it doesn't have geofencing, so you won't be able to get a notification when your child leaves school. Also, the cellular network and GPS signal have been TERRIBLE so far. If these features are important to you, this may not be your watch
Adult version please!!
Note: no 911 access and requiring Fitbit ace app to be installed on the person you want to call/text makes this product dead in the water. Looks like it’s going to be Apple Watch SE for the kid.

Oh no, you have to install an app, which is something that we NEVER do on our phones! (sarcasm). Also, how many people are going to be calling your kid? In general, its probably just the parents and MAYBE the grandparents, and you can help them install the app. Outside of that, they can text with whomever you add to the allowed list and that doesn't require an app as far as I can tell.
When Google cancels this product and lays off the team, will the product continue to work or will it be bricked? If the latter, will that void the service contract or will customers still be required to pay for the remainder of the contract?

😬 I'm surprised they are still making FitBits - they've been cutting support for them in different countries and they seem to be on the way out

@@EricSundquistKC last year during the first round of layoffs google cut the primary fitbit team and product line. At this point I assume it's just a product brand strategy. I hope for their customers it is because if this was built by the core fitbit team it's already been ghosted by its creators.

@@EricSundquistKC Yeah, they destroyed the app and graphs, and have removed Challenges. Fitbit is definitely slated to be cut by Google. Google is no stranger to killing products and services.
Looks fun!
