Lyrics: A chill arrives.
It seals the loss in our eyes.
One soul locked in two towers.
I found us in another time, raw of heart and scar.
A former shell, a future self.
The bridge between the stone and sky collapsed
to oceans of embers, ever-vast.
One soul remains, locked in two towers.
One soul betrayed, accept the things you cannot change.
The garden lies before me, secured from wolven claw.
I give to you, if only to remain.
“No my prisoner, the gate is closed.”
Only despair shall shape the bones of the dying plane.
One soul remains, locked in two towers.
One soul betrayed, accept the things you cannot change.
Hear me betrayer, what is to come?
Covenant lost, what is to come?
All of death is due in time.
Despair shall shape the bones of the dying plane.
The winds that pass, whispering epitaphs.
Carnivorous forms entwining sorrowed pasts.
Carve into canyon hearts until the centuries cease.
Once and for all, the martyrs of the coming fall.
One soul remains, locked in two towers.
One soul betrayed, accept the things you cannot change.
One soul. Two towers.
Accept the things you cannot change.

I know they're not quite as diverse, but tis pretty much the same story as Tomas Haake from Meshuggah. The amount of writing-range that guy has is absolutely mind-blowing, especially when you consider how far he's come since the early days. Started off as a guy who was frustrated at trying to adapt into their style, but he's ended up being one of the core members, if not *the* core-member. Don't get me wrong. Fredrik and Marten are on my list of favorite guitarists, and Dick Lovgren is my favorite bassist, but they'd be lost without Tomas.
I think it's an incredible compliment to say its gojira/deftones inspired, but FFAA owns this sound. Though it has shades of those others, its completely their own sound. Unmistaken. What a masterpiece.

Haven’t related to a song with this much depth in a while. Intro makes me think of deftones and as others have said I heard Gojira in this as well. I love that it’s melodic and heavy. Joes vocals never disappoint.
never heard this band before, random deathcore playlist on spotify and this came up. Love it!
First release of 2022 that I’ve been super excited for! LET’S GOOOOOOO
When FFAA’s last 4 singles have been stellar then you realize that their last 4 albums have all been amazing as well
Rivers of an Autopsy!
You don't need a label. Music speaks for itself.
The outro is truly stunning, 4:18 till the end.
There's a lot of *passion* behind this song
Ever since these guys picked up Joe they seem to release music at an alarming rate. So much diversity throughout their catalogue, too. It really does pay to have three guitarists
That weird guitar chord that stays low but proceeds to go high, is so awesome, gives it a very relaxing but also tense vibe from it, very nice!!
I cannot express how emphatically I enjoyed listening to Oh What The Future Holds. It is energizing yet sobering at the same time. It reveals the current state of the world and where we all know it’s going. The only darkness I feel coming off of this album is the facts about our demoralized and degenerating world.

Its nothing new. Their last several albums have had strong Gojira influences
I think what sets this band apart in the genre is that their riffs are actually creative and catchy. Alot of bands in this genre just try to show off their speed and talent without actually producing original sounding music that you want to keep coming back to you. Now, that being said, FFAA is by no means producing music that is only catchy to be catchy, or "selling out" as they say or trying to become "mainstream", they are simply producing original heavy music that is catchy and compelling.
Wasn’t expecting much because I don’t usually hear much good material from the last release before the album drops. This is the best song they’ve released to date.
