I was surprised and pretty excited to hear this song being covered! I first found your channel when I came across the DGD cover. (TMI ahead, but fuck it) Lyrically, Say Hi, as well as this song both hit me like a tonne of bricks when I first discovered them as I was coming to terms with finding out I was autistic later in life (30s). They're two songs that are really close to my heart, and you absolutely nailed both of them! Also loved your BMTH, Spiritbox & Lorna Shore covers - keep up the fucking awesome work :)

I’m a beginner screamer and would be cool to know how you create the vocals at 3:10? What kind of effects should i try out and what kind of layering is going on underneath? It sounds brutally beautiful!

Thank you so much! So the technique for that is called “pitch screaming,” but I technically don’t do it the way other vocalists do, since I’m still learning myself. I just use the distortion of my fry scream and combine it with cleans, but I’m trying to learn a better way with more projection and easier to do! There’s a ton of videos on here on pitch screaming, def give it a good study! You can absolutely do it!

@@bobbivanet Thanks, yeah I've been practicing it, so far I found Architects to be a really good one since Sam Carter uses that a lot (a good example is the chorus in "Gravity"). Trying to get the clean pitch to hold then adding the fry on top of it, even got an angry paper note from my neighbours when practicing projection at 10 PM one night lol. I still think I have a lot to improve on in the mixing side of things, finding videos on screaming technique is pretty easy and I've improved a ton, but there's not many tutorials on how to mix the tracks properly (for screams specifically). Hope to hear some more Spiritbox covers!
