had the same sort of thing with red root. frog bit is strong, duckweed grows of course, and red root got left behind. they do ok for me when they're they only floating plant

My salvinia minima took out the duckweed within a few weeks

Add calcium and guppy grass will explode

I like the red root floater but the duck weed and or heaven forbid frog bit...... ugh.
