Fishing with Underwater Lights

Спорт

We join two friends on Lake Eufaula (Oklahoma) as they show us how to fish using underwater lights. Fishing at night gets them out of the summer heat and into schools of feeding crappie and sand bass. With thousands of prey fish swarming to the underwater lights, the anglers catch black crappie, white crappie, blue cat, channel cat, sand bass and even a drum. Learn from these experts and try it yourself!

Joseph Torres it’s best for minnows we fish with lights and when we run out of minnows we go to jigs but it doesn’t work nearly as good I recommend just spending a couple of bucks on some minnows and you will really pleased this tactic works amazing we catch about 20 crappie about every hour

They are fishing for crappie, Crappie bite more on minnows rather then shad. If they wanted catfish then the shad would be the go to.

  • @Arnoldj1979

Because shad are really hard to keep alive in a bait well or bucket (threadfin) Minnows are hardier and stay alive much longer. Otherwise your right, shad is a natural forage for Crappie. Ever see crappie suspended under a bait ball on your sonar? That bait ball in the middle of the lake is shad obviously =)

Plankton reflect green light. I think NASA is messing around with light somehow and can make plants absorb green light, but if it's not a space plant, red and blue are the way to go. Or is reflecting the light the goal? To make them more visible to the predators? I think you need red and blue light to attract them, and green light to make them visible if that's the case.

Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats kzread.infoUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

Sand bass are not the same as white perch. A sand bass is another name for a white bass (Morone chrysops). White perch (Morone Americana) are actually a member of the temperate bass family, so it visually has many similarities to a white bass, but they are not the same thing.

what he calls sand bass, were white bass...i fished for them every spring in the rivers above Santee-Cooper until the White Perch put them out of business...if you ever see a white perch kill him, they eat fish eggs and fry and travel in packs...when the school moves through, nothing is left...

@@thellisbad723 White bass and sand bass are the same species. Just different people call them different names. Just like the Flathead catfish is called yella cat by a lot of people in the south. Also called shovelnose by some people to the north, apaloosa by some.

I think it is a Federal offense to tie up to any kind of warning, or Navigational buoy. I like the type of green lights you have. What are they?

Sport-Fishing and be an Angler is different. Thats why it is forbidden using light to attract fish in many countries in EU and USA. U seem to be all nice guys in the video but catch fish this way should be history and not celebrated.
