I can’t begin to tell you how many different rod/reel videos I’ve watched. What I can tell you, I’ve learned more in this short video than all the others combined. I’m not a tournament angler, but I love to fish, and as often as possible. I believe that we get what we pay for, and I have $300+ equipment. I did as much research as possible. I think I have more knowledge about the 13 brand than the two lines that dominate my arsenal. Thank you once again! I feel like I just got out of class, but know that I have some homework to do….and that’s a good thing 👍🏻

Chris!! I have been looking over the 13 rod lineup both casting and spinning!! In your opinion what spinning combos are best for Smallmouth?

You've going to love their cranking rods. I've got mostly 13 fishing fate chrome rods because of the quality/price point and the cranking rods are by far my favorite. Perfect action on the moderate tips.

“That is the best big swimbait rod I’ve ever put in my hand”. That was the dagger for all Megabass fans. I have a good friend who’s fished 13 for years. The reels haven’t held up like my Shimano reels over the long haul. Overall the quality just doesn’t seem to be there for 13. Also the guy who is the “product expert” is trying too hard to sound like an expert. He should have just let you fish and discuss the reel. I’m sure most people who are in the market for these would rather hear your opinion than some dude who no one knows. Guy really wants to be the club builder on the tour bus for a golf company. This isn’t a personal slam toward you by any means. I’ve been a fan of yours for years and respect the hell out of the fact you stayed with B.A.S.S. Hope you get a W this year and still pulling hard for you.

I had the worm gear stop feeding the line on my Z and A. Need to get them fixed I love the z just need a good shop to get them done right

I just got my first 13 concept A2 and it is smooth and easy to use. I’m looking forward to hooking some nice fish on Harris chain. Met you at this last tournament it was a pleasure. Thank you for all you do. --Sai

If you wanna feel quality from 13. See if they’ll hook you up with one of the OG concept C’s from 8-10 years ago. I still have 3 of mine I bought when I was 14 and I’m still using em to this day salt & fresh. Never had a problem. Glad to see you doing big things! Hope you bring home the that classic trophy!!

Quite the rod's

13 headquarters is roughly 10 miles from my home, but I’ve yet to try any of their products. Seeing that I prefer to support local companies, thinking I’ll need to grab some gear from them and see how they perform. Appreciate the informative vids you put together. Signed, a diehard bank fisherman.

When we pick up the new Toy Hauler, we are going to do a video of the RAM dually with it.

I appreciate the inside look and giving us some of 13's people talking about their product. Watch out for the side plate of your reels coming off if you don't get that sucker just right and tight. I have two reels that are down due to missing side plates. I have a 3rd reel that is down due to a busted anti-reverse. All of my 13 rods held up to years of abuse before I switched to another company. Overall, I want to like 13 fishing's reels and I look forward to seeing you work with the company.

Haven’t had an issue yet with a side plate but I’ll be cognizant! I saw some aggressive comments about their rods and I just do not understand it. They are solid.

The higher end 13 reels all have the “beetle wing” side plate that stays connected when you open it up to adjust it.

CZ, seems you've touched on what Klein has said about parabolics in flipping, from way back. I have some of his old rods (cir. Rich Forhan) and they are still amazing compared to this "new" stuff. See you next time here at Guntersville.

I'm a big believer in parabolic rods. My wife is, too. Too many people, esp. Japanese companies, focus on fast rods.

Love the Loco jerkbait. Produced my biggest largie last year. Would be great to see a perch pattern for us northern guys on inland lakes.

👌🏽 lots of different jerkbaits other that run a little different from the others especially depending on water temp. A good jerkbait box has several diff brands in it 👊🏽

@@Zaldaingerous looks like I buying it. Would u use the heavy for treble hard swimbaits and the xheavy for top jig hook or weedless soft big swimbaits. I'd obviously want a more softer tip and parabolic bend for the big treble baits

Looking to get another Concept C2 but interested in the Z slide. Think it’s worth the jump in price? I already have a Red Z.

Dude, I’d recommend the Z over the C. The C is super light and crisp but the Z casts further in my opinion. Great reel for both fluorocarbon and braid.

The fact that they went in depth with their products with you and explained more than just a “sales pitch” shows that they obviously care about the angler and take pride in there product. I don’t think these guys had to sound like an “expert” to explain there products considering they’ve spent a lot of time developing it. Maybe we should get back to what really matter most in the sport, instead of constant product bashing. Good luck on the rest of the season!

idk where the hate comes from for 13fishing I've always liked them beside the reels but are still pretty decent but my 13 black omen rod is great I like it a lot and has caught me tons of fish and they also make some pretty good baits. I honestly feel after rethinking it over u made pretty smart choice with the companies u choose.

Exactly. The Omen Black 7’2” Medium Heavy is a great do-all rod. Paired with a Concept A is perfect.

I decided I wanted to go in a different direction.

The Megabass guys that are all butthurt you switched sponsors cracks me up. I love their product but it isn’t a religion for me like it is for others. I was at the tackle shop today and checked out some of the newer generation 13 reels and they felt really nice. The only bad thing about having a tackle shop around the corner of my college campus is I could go broke in no time.

To say that 13 Fishing engineers anything is a stretch. More like tweak oem Chinese and Korean fishing gear. Color’s, logos etc. Not that 13 Fishing products are bad but the bulk of their gear is Doyo, Banax or Chinese oem engineered.
