Fishing With ALIENS! {Catch Clean Cook} Poor Mans Lobster
Ойын-сауық
Hayden and I headed to the river for a day of fishing. There are these little creatures in the water called hellgrammites that look like some sort of alien bug. These are one of the best baits to use in the fresh water river here in Texas. Just about anything will eat them and they are relatively easy to catch and find. We ended up catching multiple species of fish and came home with a few nice fresh water drum. I wanted to do the poor mans lobster dish so I made a small pot of crab boil and boiled the gasper goo in the crab boil. It was surprising how much it tasted like lobster. I hope you all enjoyed this video. Please share with family and friends.

Best thing about your videos is you don’t have a long introduction just straight to your video love it.
Salt water catfish also have those little stones.
Yes do a carp
It's awesome how that rig runs in a couple inches of water without touching bottom!
Looking forward to the knife! And don’t worry about the last name everyone messes it up lol

Been catching and fishing with hellgrammites since I was a little kid!!
Love the videos man
Great vid man
I think the “pearls” are otoliths
Awesome video. Drum is one of my favorite fish.
White Freshwater drum officially, but many local nicknames.
Here in the great lakes we consider them garbage fish but have seen people keeping them and thought they were crazy , but thos actually looks good. We catch a ton of sheepshead "goo" while walleye fishing and I have caught like a ten pound sheepshead
🔥🔥🔥🔥 vid bro food looks good as hell! Respect
We have a patron bottle full of goo stones. Add water and food coloring.
That is the kind of fishing that I would love to do. Sure does beat that" manhead" that you guys caught yesterday. LOL
The Goo looks good.
I have caught 10+ pound drum like crazy around Fort Worth on a ned rig bug bait. And they fight like crazy.
Put the transducer in a stern saver. It helps with interference and you can raise it up a little more than the instructions recommend it being located.
I’m in West Virginia and you can destroy the smallmouth bass in the rivers with the Hellgrammites. I used to love going out and catching them then going fishing with them.
If y’all have bowfin in Texas do a bowfin catch and cook!!
Excellent video!!!
I bet Gar would work great for this! I might give it a try!
i like the deal w/ the strainer , enjoyed this 1 Mike ! dont know how i missed it when you posted it , But , we be ''' Eat'in Good ! ova' he'ah !!! Thanks !!!
Cheers for the stone knife I saw og tools
That looked good i need to try it with Crappie or Bass . Keep them coming
Love it buddy. We eat goo all the time in a couvilion. And fry the small ones.
Well hell yeah brother. Yeeyee!!
Hey I love you’re videos
Im always eating drum from Georgetown lake and granger lake awesome that someone else enjoys drum like they should be
Great video
Yess🙌
Man you make it look so easy filleting those fish
Those "stones" are called oteliths. They are actually the ear bones for most fish and accessible in the same way. Fishing research can use them to age fish.
Def do it with carp!!
Up on the Wisconsin river we hate drum. You catch one about every 10 seconds and ya cant catch anything else.
Look up a StumpJumper. They're made in Tightwad, Missouri. They're exactly what you need for the transducer
Nice video
Next time y’all have crawfish, freeze a half a sack or so and do some trout lines across the river we absolutely Tare them up like that, we go in the evening set the lines out and then get on the water at daylight to go run them!
In Kansas we call them drum, just recently started eating the use to just toss them back in the lake
The smallmout love helgrammites here in virginia. Disnt know y'all had them in Texas.
Would be cool to see if carp tastes good cooked like that.
We used hellgrammites a lot when I was younger. We would drift fish them in the current for smallmouth on the upper Potomac. You guys looked like you have fished that river together a "couple" times:P
What's up MM I seen a MM sticker on the back window of a truck today in Conyers Georgia!!!
hell i really need to go fishing again
This is the first time I've seen someone eat a "goo" we call em sheep's head or drum in Wisconsin....and I know people thatd starve before eating them

You can wrap em in a crawfish sack and put it in your next crawfish boil.

Live in central Indiana we always called them white perch. Sit on on the crick bank at night you can hear them shake there heads and they rattle. My dad always cut them perch rocks out also. Gave some to my oldest son last year. Need to find some again to show him
"honey, gaspar goo is what we are having for dinner!"
We call them helgramites Dobson or dobbies in NY, prolly other places too
Hey Mullet Man, we need a chicken and garden update.
Get a Scotty mount for your transducer easy to adjust

We call them drums in Alabama
Yeah, try this on a carp. We all want to know how well it turns out.
I laughed when ya said ya had to put the crocs in 4 wheel drive .. those fish kinda cool with their hidden jewels in the head.. you 2 out have some good clean fun, you guys are good role models, those kitties enjoying some treats, they are cute and of course Zoe nor Coop would be left out..I also kinda laughed when ya were coughing from the spice, sorry😃 heck yes do more giveaways and showing us what ya do on the daily it is great.. about yr or so when ya all were at the island house with LFG n Outlaw and that duck necklace broke ya said you would do a giveaway on that, I haven't seen it.. what did you decide to do with it.. I live on the Central Oregon and love feeding the ducks at the lake n then seagulls at the ocean and also a huge U of O duck fan.. just saying 👋💚🦆
Awesome video brother you should try em pan fried with some some butter and of course the best olive oil ever
In South Carolina we call those hellgrammites rock lice they are the best river catfish bait they are. If you thread them on the hook right you can catch 10 or so fish before they get it off.guys sell them by 10 count
I've taught myself to call them all bream. Because everyone seems to have different names for them, but Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, Redbreast Sunfish, Longear Sunfish, Orangespott Sunfish, Green Sunfish, Warmouth, and others all fall under the Bream category. So I just started calling them all Bream/Brim. lol.
Man, I live by Galveston. And with all this bad stuff going on, I would LOVE to take a fishing trip with the mulletman and learn me something. I can hold my own, but wanna know some new tricks
What cooler is MM using looks bigger than a 20qt yeti
What qas the movie advertisement with it playing David Bowie?
Here on Lake Erie we call them sheep heads and call the bones “wish bones”

What he caught was what we call in California a fire worm, helgramites are mayfly nymphs, and they look similar to a 1" to 2" ant
@adamsmith8533

Wrong ! Hellgramites are the nymphal stage of a Dobson fly. Not a may fly
Well yeah you used a lot of seasoning! Lol! You used a wet measuring cup instead of a dry one. Lol!
Heck yeah you finally did it, now next duck season do coot
Holy sh#@ that mustard recipe is awesome thank for the recipes
Love it man 5th
cool cat. take it fishin with u and you r catfishing.!
Reminds me of the coast lol but nothing can come close in fresh a hundred delicious species and any size you want to catch from a pound to a couple hundred usually isn't that difficult in salt I live too far away too I feel your pain I'm about to go for the third time this year so I feed the addiction as much as I can
Hey mullet, what river did you catch those freshwater drums
The bones out of the head are called "Otoliths", you can send them to a lab and a marine biologist can give you the age of the fish.
From wisconsin here. Never heard blue gill refered to as perch as perch is much better eatin 😁
3rd love your videos
Do you have a video on how you tie on stuff
"I thought he jacked my worm" 😳
We call those sheepheads up here in Michigan and consider them trash fish. Don’t know why, I never personally ate them. Maybe we are spoiled with all of our game fish up here.
Gotta put the Crocs in sport mode
good till the last fish
Eat good, ♥️❤️
6th love vids
I can’t believe you ate a Casper
They are so grows
Best way to catch a bunch if helgamites is to sain in current. Better with 3 people two holding the sain one flipping rocks bout 25ft back and work your way to the sain..
Stergion have those same things If y’all didn’t know
How do you make those jug lines?
Bro!! Beginning to think you and the wifey don't own any regular dinner plates?! You need to get in touch with Dixie, the paper plate company and get a endorsement deal going!! Time to get paid Ol' SON!! Keep it up with the great content, love your videos! Stay Humble Brother!
