Here's something for those catching or fishing for trout. DO NOT UNDER ANY CONDITION use a cloth rag, or a cloth shirt, or a cloth net to hold or catch it (no fabrics) . Anything besides your hand will rub off the oils coating the trouts scales which make the trout less immune to disease and other illnesses, meaning when you'd release it- it would most likely die.

Extension to Tip 2. Water currents and wind. Especially on ponds and lakes. The wind will create a current in the water. This will make bait fish follow or be pushed with the current. Bigger fish will follow. So if you see a current. Fish on the end its going too. Fish will also take shelter from the current in calm spots. So fish them also. You'll be surprised on how much more fish you'll get

I was fishing once on a river bank and a old dude in a kayak came by with a ziplock bag of shrimp and gave me them to use as bait.

once i was fishing with a few family members at an ocean dock, and we were using the wrong lure and hook, and the guy next to us who seemed to be more experienced in fishing kindly let us know and helped us out. when we left, we gave him the rest of our bait that we weren’t gonna use, and a couple small fish we caught that he used to catch nurse sharks (he let them go after of course).

There is a video here on KZread they tagged and tracked bass in this tournament lake and tagged hundreds of 2-9 lb bass by electroshocking the water and crazzy thing is alot of the big bass would hang out with no structure or anything just the flats around a single stump or some fish will stay in shallows only and your lure actually scares 30-80 percent of the bass away loon it up everything we thought we knew about bass is wrong according to this crazzy study. And the first tip don't go spend hundreds of dollars on lures just get you a simple small spinner bait in a few colors yellow white red and then get one or two with different color spoons get the small strike king ones and just throw them garunteed to catch a bass anywhere as long as you cover water bank fishing and don't cast in same spot i do 20 casts per spot and keep moving if I don't get a night or strike and I have caught some trophy tournament bass just doing that off the bank in small neighborhood ponds personal best in my neighborhood pond behind my house is 8.7 lbs and I been fishing it every weekend for a year and have caught a bunch of bass o was told the hoa released 16,000 bass in it 7 years ago and this pond is massive so big it's basically a lake and they have bass tournaments in it twice a year for residents only and no kayaks just Bank fishing only so the further you can cast the better off you are in this pond o have used balloons to get my lure way out to cover tons of water and works every time
