Fishing the Z-Man Trout Trick - Does it Catch Fish?

Спорт

In this video, I tried fishing with the Z-Man Trout Trick for the first time to see if I could catch any fish. Given the name, I was targeting speckled trout while inshore fishing around the Tampa Bay area. I used both the Bad Shad and Sexy Mullet colors on an 1/4 ounce jig head. What other lures should I try next?

They work great! I absolutely LOVE the durability of Z-man's stuff. You canNOT beat the action they have while being so long-lasting.

We just had trout ceviche for the 1st time and couldn’t recommend it enough! Marinate in fresh lime and orange juice for 30 min then add your other mixins, tomato, pepper, cilantro, onion, avocado and garlic!

I've had a ton of success with swimming trout tricks under a popping cork. They've secured my biggest so far which was 26 inches. My favorite bait for Trout by far.

The root beer/chartreause swimmin trout trick is money for me. Just let it sink and slow retrieve. Its non stop action if trout are around.

I love the trout trickz. Some times here in Eastern NC, during the winter everyone wants to throw mirrolures, but I'll catch more trout throwing the trout trick with a wide gap belly weighted hook. Usually in the 1/16 or 1/8 oz sizes. With the 1/16oz hooks, you can work em pretty much like a mirrolure. I also fish em a lot on tandem rigs in the fall and the trout destroy em.

This style of of fishing with this lure with this tail is called DARTING, It arrived to Spain from Japan like 3 years ago, I just move from Spain to Tampa a few weeks ago and I surprise because in Spain we are kind of more advance in the different ways of fishing with Lures, like your channel and I hope to see you one day fishing in tampa!

Awesome Video, now that it's trout season could you do a video in the flats with a Paul Brown Fat Boy lure(not the mirrodine). That would be great, I started fishing them recently and like you said in the video keep building your skills with different baits. I have been killing the lady fish (unfortunately) lol but no trout on it or reds. Texas people swear by them. I'm going to tuff it out and fish it for the next month to see if its me, location or technique. I work midnights so I fish every day 7 to 1030am inshore(land) and wade in Sarasota Bay.Hope to see a video on it. Thanks again

For what it’s worth I have the avid inshore medium light but in 7’6”. Absolutely would recommend. Super light, super sensitive, super fun to use. I’ve thrown shrimp, finger mullet, artificial lures (hard baits and soft plastics). Definitely not cheap but I feel is worth it

@@ryanlitz4987 hey man, thanks for your input I definitely appreciate it, I’m going to take a look into those, I run artificial and soft plastics all the time, fast action I’m assuming?? I wanted the lightest duty I can get that will still handle some big snook, I’ve only been heavily fishing for the past year and my brother got me a custom 7’0 diamond back blank it feels like it has to be a medium light it’s so touchy and easy to load a nice flick cast with problem is he doesn’t know the actual specs on it so I’m having a pain trying to find a rod similar to it

  • @SeeYaDude

Just depends on the scenario. I prefer mono when using topwaters because it floats which helps the lure perform, but then I usually go with fluoro when using anything else
