Your casting is F-ing legit and I’m jealous. You’re putting lures in front of fish 90% of us never do.

🥲 thank you!! I’ve worked hard to be able to do that because I’ve learned when you’re fishing behind someone or fishing an area that gets a ton of pressure, making casts others can’t is the only way you’re going to get em
Great video watching from Columbus Ohio 🐟🎣

you and Greg both, need to do a "skipping from a kayak" how to vid. Absolutely perfect skips ( not at all how mine seem to go. lol ) always fun to watch you having a good day on the water.

That is a good idea! I actually think it’s easier from a yak, you’re closer to the water

@@imn1ppystr I seem to have a difficult time after learning to do it from a boat and shore. I just slam my jig into the water at high velocity. LOL
So impressed with your casting, specifically your skipping skills. I watch you and try to immulate your technique on the water but can't seem to get it on a consistent basis. Lol, still waiting on a little tutorial from ya when you get the chance. I know there's some small detail I'm missing. God bless and good luck with your tournaments.
Caddo is my most favorite place on earth. I grew up fishing there and I get there as often as I can. A blast to fish especially if you like shallow target fishing like I do. Not to mention it is absolutely beautiful.

Coming from someone who lives 25 minutes from Caddo I love seeing this. Past few weekends I've caught a 15lb bag everytime with 8-15 fish. Was wondering why I saw so many kayaks!
Your casting is literally a thing of beauty! You make it look so effortless!
Way to go, Gal... I KNOW you'll get some "Good'uns" to add to your score. Keep on Skippin' them Lures (something I can't "master" yet!). Lol...
Another video that kicks butt! Thanks.

Lol the tactical release at 12:05. That dink knew he belonged back in the water. Glad you were able to stay safe with all those moronic boaters around. Crazy… every spring. Lol The amount of times i see people full-out through marinas, no wake zones, and no wake lakes is astonishing.

Did you ever come up with how or why you lost them when you were fishing the trees?? Was it a hook issue? Rod action? Hookset?? Reel speed?

A few of them just got hung up, I fished much cleaner this time though!
You definitely have to do a video 1 day on how to skip a lure from your ((kayak)). I watch you do it and it's amazing. I've tried just can't get it down. Would be an excellent video
There's definitely an ergonomic factor working against the angler from the seated posture in the kayak, where casting and skipping is concerned. The real thing to do to mitigate back injury though, especially in early season where air temperatures are just not very warm (and temperature changes throughout day). Is to stay wrapped up with a 'one-piece' like as shown, or something that protects one's lower back areas from becoming cold. Whilst using those muscles a lot. The other thing that kayak anglers should maybe worry about is twisting sideways to make casting presentation (any basic manual handling teaching always explains it, how it's not a good idea). Be front-on as much as possible while doing tasks (it means that when one gets into more advanced years, one will still be able to perform tasks without making undue wear on the spinal parts. I think what kayaks will eventually have to look into, are some kind of outrigging components in order to stabilize the platform (that rotation of the seat and hull of the vessle is no good at all from a spinal point of view either). It's the individual elements of the spinal member which is having to constantly adjust itself to that. And there are limits on what our skeletons are designed to endure. Some kind of an outrigged component either side of the kayak to stablize it more, would enable the competition angler to stand and fish a lot more. Especially in dead flat water such as that.
He said “Tell G to get back to work!” 😂

What parts of Caddo Lake did you fish in this video?
I know everybody uses braid in heavy cover these days but in my experience heavily pressured fish shy away from braid at times, especially in visibility more than 2 feet. Maybe it’s just me imagining that for the last 20 years because it seems like other people have great luck on braid
