    I agree with the comment from someone who said that you should have someone with you when you go out. And that someone should be me. I’ll pay for the gas, clean, net, and cook, as long as I can catch one good fish before I get too old and decrepit. If I fall overboard, my wife will probably tip you. 😁

    I love how you've been saying which day you went out. I watch the marine forecast daily, so I generally have a good idea of what the wind, waves, period, etc. are. But, we all know that when the forecast says 2' @ 6 seconds, it could either be dead calm of 5' @ 4 seconds!

    Amberjack are so fun to catch. We were about 30 miles out of Homosassa, Fl in about 50-60’. We caught a few weighing close to 40lbs. Can’t wait to go again.

    AJs pull hard. I smoked a reel on a 44# AJ on a drift boat and one of the mates was able to splice the line to another reel so I could get it to the boat. I had just finished doing an inframe overhaul of the engines on the boat, and this was the sea trial. Paid to fish! Double score!!

    Put the lid on that grill and close the vents when your done cooking, you'll smother out that half used charcoal. Then you can use it in your next cook, no waist. Man oh Man Bama, would I love to get a taste of that Amber Jack!

    Hey Steven, I have a cajun seasoning that I’ll recommend to try, is called “Cajun tow step” you can find it at the local Walmart, it’s a guy from Louisiana that made it , it’s very delicious.

    stephen i was at the j& m at 630am and at the same ramp shortly after that. we went out about 20 miles' wish we would have ran up on ya. we didnt find any amberjack but did catch a very good trigger fish. hope to be back down tuesday.
