Fishing Scofield Reservoir, Late Spring (Mid June), Part Two..The Morning, Utah

Спорт

We are up and on the water the following morning, wasting no time! We immediately begin trolling and pretty much hook up right away. So begins the day! We return to the area where Jen caught the Tiger, and troll back and forth hoping to get into another Tiger. Once again the majority are Cutthroat and we do very well! We continue to fish till Noon having a great time. As I say, we are believers in Scofield Reservoir now and can't wait to return!

Lots of action. A secret for you: Tigers almost exclusively eat live minnows which are of course illegal in Utah. You are however able to use live crayfish if caught at the same water. Large tigers are either very shallow in scummy looking stuff or down deep most of the time. Good luck!

All of them big trucks going past u all night was coal trucks i used to work at that coal mine a few years ago and also it has some huge tiger's in that lake i think some state records have been out of there but we use minnows/ anchovies for bait

We were hoping to get into a large Tiger on this trip, maybe next time. Next time we camp in the area, we'll try and get a little farther from the road! Thanks for watching, Tight Lines!

We had a ranger a few years ago, that told us if we catch any chub don’t throw them back in the lake. He said to kill them and throw them up on the bank. So when I catch him in our boat, I try to kill him, and eventually head over to the shore so that I can throw them on the shore. Then the birds or the animals can eat them.

Great video. Curious, how fast do you typically troll? I am trying to dial it in for me.

I fished Schofield this weekend with my 11-year-old. There is a huge algae bloom the water was nasty. We had a really good time tho. Caught about 20 fish. Did you guys have any issues up there with the moss and seaweed? My lures would pick up the seaweed quite a bit.

The weed wasn't too bad while we were there, got a little problematic when the wind picked up. Sounds like you had a good trip overall though. Any Tigers?

@@snow_clan It sure can be. Realistically, Powell can be good year round if you target certain species seasonally.
