I'm pretty sure one of those Island Venture OCV vessels helped us out during the ADSFR a couple of years ago. We became dead in the water about 90 miles out and the engineer that came on board told us they were just treating us like a training exercise lol They took our batteries back to their vessel, charged them up and brought them back to us. Awesome guys to have save our butts. Gave them every fish on ice we had 👍

It’s funny how you go so far and catch one fish and you go by yourself on a bay boat and have a blast catching dozens of fish 🎣. Here in California where I’m from, is also hard for me to get into good fish 🎣 inshore or offshore, especially when I’m limited because of my 19 foot bay boat, but it’s always fun fishing no matter what. Some days I’m done by 12 o’clock because it’s one after another fish and I have my limits, other days I barely catch a fish not to get skunked. Love the videos as always 👍🍻🇺🇸

Nice video! I'm still learning about the offshore setups and had a few questions. It looks like the 50W's are spooled with all mono. Any particular reason you went that way rather than using braid and a mono top shot? What pound test are you using and who makes those adjustable bent butt rods? Appreciate any advice or feedback you can give.
