I'm pretty sure I was there that night also. I caught lots of little bluefish and some spot. That guy was fighting that stingray forever.

Nice! It was definitely a fun night. Yeah, I knew he would lose it. He didn't work the fish enough to tire it out. Played it too safe by letting it sit out there. Definitely had the gear too as well. 50lb main and im not if he had a leader, 5000+ reel Got a good workout at least 😂

Not sure if this is still an option as it’s been years since I’ve stayed at the Oceanic Motel. It used to be, anyone staying at the Oceanic Motel who wanted to fish from this pier, could go to the office at the motel and ask for a free pass. So, as long as your staying at the Oceanic Motel, you could fish the Oceanic pier for free.

once at this pier was enough for me. nothing like the stench of rotting bait from day's before on a Summer day. it was like standing in a toxic cloud without escape. watched a guy motor over to this pier in a center console boat, tie up, get out and fish from the pier. ?????

He must of tried to find bait at this pier. I just fish the bridge now. Much better fishing there but you need to know what to do

😂😂 ah okay so that was you. I was using paddle tails in the morning. Two big ones got away

at 3:45 in the video, I have seen that older gentlemen and the guy with him before. I always go to that pier. edit: he always loses fish when he is trying to get them up

Yeah he has trouble landing them. Happened multiple times. Quick release tbh he doesn't keep them anyways

I don't think so. Most piers that you pay to get in they cover. But ill give them a call just to make sure
