fished WNS for not a lot last night... did get four fish in four casts before I left though.. lol

I went to the end of this jetty, a couple years back, I remember army corps of engineers installed giant boulders 180* at the end of that jetty, I don't know why, maybe the California fish and game folks requested it to be put there wanted to piss off fisherman going there fishing the bigger fish swimming around that have caught (black sea bass) in the past. And also that's where the sheep head, sargo's, calico bass, rock fish are, a diver that was snorkeling in that jetty told me there are all kinds of fish near the rocks from the center end, told me to cast out far left of that jetty.

Use to fish there in the 70's using mussels for bait!

A few years ago, a buddy and I went out there. He slipped on a rock and twisted his ankle. Guess who had to carry him out. I haven’t been back since.

I love fishing out there.

I was out there fishing last Sunday and had no idea there was a young couple below me. The dude was laying down and had a blanket on him while the girl was straddling him. You can use your imagination on the rest...hehehe. You’ll never know what you’ll find or catch at the jetty 😂

Hey, I know this is an old video but I'm trying to figure out which Jetty this is on the map. I don't want to do a long hike and find I went to the wrong one. 😅 I'm not sure I'm understanding it right, as it looks like the Jetty in this video is the side from the same beach where the roller coaster is. Not the side where dog beach is. Why is it 2 hours to get to if it looks like 5 min away from the parking lot? Help me out bro. Lol

My respects I fish there before thanks to the jigpara spin I started catching nice 👌 mackerel and calico it does get rough but I caught my first halibut in a lot of good fish out there so that's why I keep going back even though get stuff but it's always like you say you will get rewarded

Was hoping for some bonito! Nex one! Fun mission. We just got back from a little striped bass surf adventure and we landed 4. Not bad but it was like a 3 mile hike in to the spot on sand with gear... definitely exhausting

Ive caught some nice spotties, sandies calicos, mackerels and seen some small yellowtails. I used a 10ft rod with a small surface iron (broken yolk) color and got blown up on but never caught a yellow from the jetty would be nice. Conditions got to be right.

thats the first place i tried last sat.. was there when the sun came up.. wish i would have tried it second day when i finally started to dial in the cali bank fishing. got my butt handed to me out there but think if i get to go back i will do well.. it was very fishy out there. I was not letting my baits sink very much... to scared of the rocks and snags... cant live in fear i guess

how are you not snagging on every cast? Last time I tried working artificials on N jetty I lost so many lures :( you aiming for the blue water just beyond the rocks and letting it sink to bottom then working it back towards structure?

Trial and error bud. Get a sensitive rod and figure it out. Its a puzzle every time.

Shit my day??? How bout my month. Went on a 2 1/2 day on the top gun 80 on 10/14 caught limits and some, won a dart tournament 10/18 at the VFW in encanto/lemongrove area, bday was on the 10/22 had our league dart banquet on that day, and on 10/25 went to escape out in san berdu. Top that haha
