Fishing Lake Powell, Reopened!/ Late Spring Action, Day Two

Waking up to a calm morning on Day two,, camp is wrapped and I'm back at it. The fishing resumes. I wander down the San Juan a bit trying different spots and having success with Largemouth, Smallmouth, and even get a Walleye in the boat.
Sadly my camera fried and I had to switch to an older, back up camera. Please forgive the quality!
Making my way back to Wahweap, hitting spots as I travel...the action stays constant. Wrapping the day on a nice Striper, I head back to the ramp anticipating a mad house. I was not disappointed. The ramp was choked, the docks full, and there were a line of vehicles from the top all the way to the water. Seemed like all of Arizona and Utah were launching and trailering up! Everyone needing to get their Powell fix!

What a fishing trip! I really need to get back there for camping and fishing on the San Juan. Your LP videos used to “scratch my itch” to be at LP. I now think your videos make my itch worse. 😂

Yes. And when I do, I’ll be scanning the lake for a 17’ skiff with a guy at the helm in a blue UFirst shirt. 😀

Great time to be on the lake, I wish I was down there Fishing right Now instead of working. That lake looks like the water level has came up a bit since last year too.

Generally I do not, I have a small boat. If I ever move up in boat size I may just do that.
What size hooks do you use for anchovy fishing
