Fishing in Gator Infested Canals...

Спорт

Day 3 of my south Florida trip and I wanted to get a little closer to the wildlife. Found a dirt road and used my ‪@Heybike‬ electric bike to get to the spots to fish. What a trip it was, new species and big bass along the way, with alligators all around.

16:18 Pike killifish (Belonesox belizanus). It is neither a pike, nor a killifish, nor a gar. It is in the livebearer family, very closely related to mosquitofish. They've native to Central America.

I like all of your videos, but your Everglades videos are my favorites. Exploring and hopping from fishing hole to fishing hole looks like a ton of fun and the diversity of fish is amazing. I surf fished the whole time I was last in Florida. Now I regret not taking a day to explore the Everglades.

Whaaaaaaaattttt?!?!? You didn't catch me one o' dem little Gators?!? (Hee hee hee hee hee)! Just messin' with ya, Brother. You be careful out there amongst them 'Gators, ok? You've sure come a long way, from the first time I ever saw you in a video. You and your Mom were sittin' out on the ol' Creek Bank, and you were catchin' some purty good fish, including a nice-sized Catfish. Remember that? You probably didn't even have a whole lot of Subscribers back then, maybe a few thousand. My, how times have changed! You're less than 2,000 Subscribers short of having 150,000 Subscribers! You kept on, keepin' on, and God has blessed ya mightily! Now, you've got sponsors and all that...and it's all based on one word-Persistence! The most important thing, though, is that you kept Jesus Christ first and foremost, and, to this day, you continue to be a witness for Jesus Christ! I love that! You have a great night!

It's just crazy how large some of those bass get in those canals! I can't buy a 5 pounder near where I live, yet there are monsters swimming around in so many places in Florida! Absolutely loved catching your bait on one side of the road and then walking across the road to catch a quick bass. Wash, rinse, repeat! Took longer to catch the bait then the bass! Great video! Blessings!

I lived in the Naples area for 20 years and fished that area that you are in when I first moved there. 3 times I had to deal with alligators coming at me with the fish on the end of the line. Another time I was standing on the edge of canal when I looked down at my feet and there was a 4' gator 1 foot away just under the water looking up at me. No mas!! I only fished that area from a boat after that. But you do catch some wild stuff.

Thanks for the Bible verse at the end to remind us: our Lord Jesus Christ is returning to earth soon! Interesting video. Looks a lot like Turner River Road, where we used to love to go and watch the water moccasins cross the road.
