When you come back up some day, you should plan it at around the time the walleye season opens up and show up in may for the best smallmouth fishing. If you toss around a craw imitation like tube or creature bait, I guarantee you will boat more fish than you can count. Will definitely keep watching this series without a doubt. I'm loving this series . I visited Bolt castle when I was 14 in 1972 . It was an abandoned unfinished castle at the time with no plans for its future . Now I see it's finished .I need to tour it again .

My dad took us there a few times in the 80s had a great time fishing. The water is extremely clear, cold and deeper than it looks. Great for pike and perch.

boldt castle is such a cool place, lot of history behind it too. we fish up there once a year if we can in some good spots

Shouldve visited the castle and taken a walk through, its worth it to see the history. its a popular destination in the summer months to visit on a boring day

I grew up fishing the thousand islands around Alexandria Bay in the 60s. Back then pike was the species of choice. Bass? A distant second. My how things have changed.

I haven’t gotten to fall fish in three years due to breaking my neck but it makes me feel really good seeing you catch them in my hometown

If you ever go back, hit up Lake of the Isles inside Wellesley Island. There’s a channel that feeds in from the main river and it’s a solid place to hit when it’s too rough on the river.

I caught my first pike on the St. Lawrence at Wellesley island. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I’ve actually been there as well. Cottage up there in Canada, with a bay that’s just packed with bass we stayed in. It was amazing

Tough fishin my good man. Personally summertime on lake Ontario. I did well between 50 and 20 ft of water. Normally they were up shallower and years past, but something has changed

SMB is the only thing that us northerners can catch and feel like a TV fisherman. 6lbs 21” is my PB and there’s a ton within inches of that one.

MY HOMEBODY SLC !! caught a 8.5 smb this year in August. love that place. :D
