Fishing For lake Trout At Lake Tahoe

Ойын-сауық

We decided to drive up to Lake Tahoe while I was in California and go fishing for lake trout. We were able to get two days of fishing on lake Tahoe during my visit and found success both days. I hope you enjoy the video.

    Lake Tahoe looks AMAZING, bud. 😳 Crazy how many minnows you can get on that trap in a short period of time. Some great looking fish, especially the one at the 5:00 mark. Glad you guys had success out there!

    Always visited the lake as a kid. Never fished it. Fished surrounding areas like Pinecrest , and the Stanislaus. Great times

    Pinecrest was always fun, fished that years ago myself. Stanislaus was good as well. I used to go fish it below Arnold and a spot called love creek. Small bow and browns on flies in that creek. That was my stomping grounds as a teen

    @@ThePiscatorian360 my time was the mid 70s. I wonder how those places held up over the years. I've not been back since but want to go before the final sunset. I always was jacked to see the bows cruise the shallow parts of the pools in the small branches of the Slaus. Just one more time at least!

    Yeah no baby trout just lohantan resides, some of the smaller macks took the hook in the rackers so we chose to keep them as part of our limit. We let more go that didn't make the video. Thanks for watching!

  • @ThePiscatorian360

    @ThePiscatorian360

    29 күн бұрын

    @gavincurry5798 Well, take a long rod that can cast a good distance. I would think your best bet from shore will be first and last light of the day being most productive. Try cast masters or little cleo's something with some weight to get them out there 3/8 or 1/2 oz. Chrome blue, rainbow trout, brown trout patterns. Also, bait fishing can be another option. Hopefully you will hook into one. Another option if you like streams is hope valley, west fork of the carson river approximately 40 min south of south shore. Salmon eggs or panter martin spinners for stocker trout.
