Fishing Cut Bait From a Kayak for BIG Shallow Water Redfish

Спорт

In this video, I went kayak fishing near Tampa Bay, Florida using frozen mullet as cut bait. My goal was to catch big shallow water redfish during low tide. I started the morning fishing the grass flat with cut bait and artificial lures. I then moved up to the mangrove shoreline as the tide got higher. It was a crazy day of inshore saltwater fishing!

Depends on the area. I hardly ever catch catfish by mangroves, but I'll sometimes run into them on deeper grass flats or oyster bars. Especially when it gets close to sunset

I've heard that Picnic Island Park is a good area and I'm sure there's placed to launch a kayak from there. Also, Upper Tampa Bay Park, Philippe Park, EG Simmons, and Cockroach Bay are good options but a little further away.
