My Malibu Stealth-9 is perfect for me. Easy to load and unload, lots of rod holders, and I can easily stand in it

Not too often. I sometimes go down to Bradenton, but I've only fished there once from the piers

Depends on the area. I hardly ever catch catfish by mangroves, but I'll sometimes run into them on deeper grass flats or oyster bars. Especially when it gets close to sunset

What do you think of that daiwa reel so far? Thinking of buying one.

It's really nice, the drag is incredibly smooth and it's been great so far. Still too early to tell how it'll hold up in the long run

Do you always use an anchor when fishing with the Kayak? I've always been worried a big fish will pull my kayak because I don't have foot peddles. Also, love the vids!

I usually throw an anchor when I'm fishing a specific spot, makes life a little easier

I've heard that Picnic Island Park is a good area and I'm sure there's placed to launch a kayak from there. Also, Upper Tampa Bay Park, Philippe Park, EG Simmons, and Cockroach Bay are good options but a little further away.

OK man. I appreciate it. I've been to eg Simmons. Haven't had any luck from shore for redfish or snook. I did catch a keeper cobia there. But again, thanks for the advice

My favorite cut baits are mullet, pinfish, and ladyfish. I haven't noticed one being significantly better than the other
