Taku this is perfect timing! I just finished watching ALL of your videos yesterday. I started a bit over a month ago. I love these videos and they help with my anxiety and help me be hopeful. I've been on and off into outdoorsy stuff and as a kid I fished. You've inspired me to get outside more as it's calming and beautiful and I'm even thinking about starting my own channel based off a show I used to watch around nature.

@@92bagder Foil won't stop a rock explosion. I put charcoals on my cement patio (in a steel lasagna pan, flat on the concrete) 45 years ago, and the explosion blew a crater about 8 inches wide and all the way through the 3 1/2" concrete. It was the air void in the concrete that caused the explosion. It can kill you!

No worries, it was only for 30 seconds to kill bacteria on the rock surface.

Yeah, its becouse small gaps are in the rock, filled with water (also containing bacteria), but with a quick burning the surface becomes practically sterile without any life hazard. The trick is, you choose nice, flat and smooth surface ones, like Taku did. :)

You did a beautiful job on filleting. I've never seen that method and must say I really like it! Very little waste. I left the PacNW a few months ago and doubt I'll catch another salmon, but I'm going to try it on some of the similar soft boned fish where I am now.

fishing tip: With light spinning rods you can increase your rate of fishing by moving the handle from the right hand side of the reel to the left hand side, but still cast with the right. This saves you changing arms and then back again...People feel the can't because they are right handed but it is a very good process ...and you might notice that your Addicted Fishing mate, had his on the LHS...and I bet he is right handed. Just a friendly hack
