Fishing at 4am?! Well worth getting up for!

Ойын-сауық

This is a trip that saw Graeme sleeping overnight in the back of his car just so he could be up and on the bankside by dawn....Yes,its a summer film, there is no way you are going to see GP out fishing at 4am in the winter ...unless there is suddenly a run of double figure shore Cod !!....He takes you through his early morning fishing session just as it happens, capturing the very essence of what dawn fishing in summer is really all about...Match rod,a float ,selection of bait then just sit back and wait for a bite...It illustrates one of the more popular methods of high summer fishing in the UK and in a classic English pond....Add to the setting a great mix of species and you have a fishing film that should have you yearning for summer to come round again....Enjoy...

Daybreak with mist coming off the water, absolutely one of the most wonderful times to be alive ! Life isn't about how many breaths you take its about how many times your breath is taken away ! The video was a pleasure to watch as always , the scenery shots were beautiful, they reminded me of some of john wilsons episodes and a passion for angling with bob and Chris (We have come a long way since the best on offer was "EH BRIAN ! My dad started taking me fishing from a very young age. Park lakes, canals, pits, that sort of thing. He fished very simply, peacock quill float, single shot and his bait of choice was either bread or hemp on the hook, roach were his favourite quarry. He used to laugh at me when I’d buy yet another float to add to my collection. “How much did you pay for that?” ,he’d say. He said he could buy a year’s worth of floats for less than a shilling,a whole peacock quill which he’d cut to various lengths. Over the years my fishing has taken me far and wide, including fly fishing in the Maldives! I’m 65 now and yesterday I fished a small local lake using a tiny float, single no4 shot,18 hook and a bit of worm. I caught plenty and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dad was right🙂

Don't worry,it was edited and scheduled back on Monday, but my "staff" only just got back from a trip to watch Man U (did they win ??) so its just a bit later upload, plus I have been flat out working all day.

Only just in from work I'm afraid ,which is why the film had a late upload,I started at 10am so I figure an 11 hour day including moving double beds upstairs is enough at my age !! Not even time to start editing, won't be out of bed too long.

I couldn''t as I said in the film I had been out boat fishing at sea all the previous day. Plus you can't beat a freshly made brew.
