Fishing an Abandoned Power Plant.. (Insane Fishing)

Fishing and exploring a hidden power plant for whatever bites! Can I get back to it? What kind of fish could possibly be there? We head out to go saltwater kayak fishing at a brand new mysterious spot I found on google maps.. We have a rod, reel, artificial lures and a dream.. I did not expect for this to happen..

Damn that Tarpon was a nice size at the beginning. Awesome jump! Great looking Jacks as well and sure the fight was ridiculous....next time you go bring some crabs and fish right next to them bulkheads and concrete pylons...see if there's some sheepshead or tog next to them...Great vid Mike!!

Hey man, great video! I used to fish tarpons with my dad in Brazil. This fishing is really particular, it is a visual fishing. You should observe the water and just wait for the fish to come to top water (just like on 23:23 and 23:30) and then you cast just behind it. Reel in aprox. 3 times, stop for half a second, and keep doing it this way. You'll catch'em a lot more! The white shad you're using is great choice, by the way. Good luck on your next adventures!

I live near a now decommissioned power plant. When it was in operation, the cooling tower outflow was 10F warmer than the surrounding water. It housed migratory fish like striped bass and bluefish year round. Now, fish still show up there, but not nearly as much.

As an employee of one of these places, the water going out is cleaner than the water coming in. This appears to be a mixture of coal and natural gas plant. There is no radiation as that is not a nuclear facility. Also there is more radiation in your home than we face on a daily basis at a nuclear facility.

If you get hit hard with a swim bait stop reeling and let it dead fall to the bottom, usually before it hits the mud or sand the fish will have turned and ate the bait, they are used to blasting through bait balls and turn to eat the injured baitfish....its worked for me a lot
