Fishing a PIER with CUT BAIT for Whatever Bites!! (Unexpected Catch)

I take you guys with me to go fishing a new saltwater pier for whatever bites! This is my first time EVER fishing a pier at the outer banks in North Carolina! We explore and toss out some mullet and shrimp to see if anything is around! The next day we take the kayak out to do some inshore kayak fishing in the outer banks! There can be so many different fish that we could possibly catch in the saltwater and at a place like OBX! Will we catch our first fish at the outer banks? I didn't expect this to happen..
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 482,800 I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!

Dont let the heavy winds discourage you. The biggest bull reds are caught on the points using cut finger mullet in super choppy water. The choppy water stirs up the bait and makes the best fishing in North Carolina. The time of the year your fishing is best time for the reds in the surf. Tight lines!

Most of the rentals are set up so they’d break the line if you catch something heavy, specifically to deter people fishing for sharks. That’s my experience at Bogue Inlet Pier, not sure about the one you’re at.

I know in a few places I've fished that look like that one of the best ways to catch a red or trout is live line a mullet out the back as you are floating on through casting a lure. No weight, just let the mullet swim free behind you. You'll get slammed hard that way at times and hook into some real monsters. Also works with shrimp although you'll have to babysit it a lot more and get smaller fish.
