Thanks Simon. Yeah I don't think people fish there that often. Definitely a place to keep on the down low

Found a similar few holes between the kelp here on Agulhas side - on the right conditions every bait gets picked up when you cast just right like you do here. Having no idea what it could be the bite takes you by surprise, a lot of fish get lost until you catch the "ready for anything" wake up call! So far on 4 species out of one hole but I rate theres still 3 out there that have picked me up but never landed.

Hi Ben. It's awesome when it's like that. The difficult part for me is to get my timing and the conditions just right. What species have you caught on ur spot?

@@thebeardedfisher galjoen - kob - kolstert and juvenile cracker. I'm sure there are steenies of all shape and size there but trying to pull the handbrake on one and stop it getting into that kelp doesn't get them hooked. All you are left with is a pickup-pull-drop and the typical "what was that?!" Look on your face

That's awesome man. Ja hooking up with Steenies in kelp is difficult at times. I have found best it to let them run. Fight them on a light drag, they will end up swimming the same path back to you that the swam off into. As soon as you try to "lock n hold" them I found is when they reef me.
