@@Jefeblaksta I'm not trying to sound ugly I can afford what I want but forward facing sonar is not very sporting to me I don't need a sonar unit that tells me where to cast and shows the fish hit my lure All I have ever needed is 2D sonar

@@billycraighead9814 I know I can’t afford one either but wouldn’t mind one since I’m on the water it would be awesome to see the sonar structure and find fish faster .. it don’t mean the fish will bite just because you use sonar but it also gets you on them faster and enjoy the day more .
I love how he always says “howdy everyone” it’s the best possible intro to ever exist.
There’s just something about bobber fishing panfish in the kayak that’s so relaxing. Great video as always.

My pb crappie wasn't even on ultralight, let alone a bobber. It was on a 3/4 oz ledgebuster spinnerbait
When my kids were little, they were afraid of bones, so I would filet and cut them up into bite sized chunks. After batter dipping, I deep fried them and called them fish nuggets. The kids loved them and if I didn't eat some as I was cooking, I didn't get any.

Am I the only one that watches this channel for the relaxation? 😜
Kayak fishing is absolutely relaxing. My son and grandson just bought kayaks and I had one years ago but nothing like the nice stuff they have now. Thought about getting another one but my old back wouldn't like that. These postings are top notch. I would have brought home at least a couple of those crappie. Great eating. I used to fish some farm ponds with my nephew in Indiana when we would visit that was loaded with hybrid bluegill. They were so big you could hardly get your hand around them. We used to throw them back but one day the owner said he wanted to thin them out a bunch. We took a good bunch home and cleaned them for a big family fish fry that night. Nobody was in the mood for fresh caught fish for some reason so my nephew and I ate til we started growing gills. Great memories.
Thanks for putting all of us stuffed in you kayak for this fishing adventure
Thanks Matt, that was a very relaxing video and I enjoyed the tranquility of bobber fishing for crappie! Waiting anxiously for your next video, take care and be safe!

Meanwhile down in Virginia and Carolina some of us wished we could see some snow. February was warmer than March but we have had many 60s, some 70s and even a few 80° days. Just crazy. We usually don't get much of a spring but it started in February this year

Crappie are probably the most satisfying fish to catch, always a fight. Smallys are a close second for me but Crappie hold a special place in my love for fishing.

I grew up in Glenwood MN in the 40s and 50s. In the spring of the year, the Crappie's would return to Lake Minnewaska at the inlet from Pelican Lake. I can remember catching Crappie's that were 2 pounds plus back then. I don't know if there are still those large fish running but my memories are vivid about those days.

Calmest dude ever.. earned a new subscriber!
I almost hate to comment because I'm basically going to just reiterate what so many other commenters say. I love watching your videos because of how relaxing they make me feel. Foe me... that's fishing. The beauty of God's nature and soothing sounds of the birds, frogs, etc. I remember when I lived in Connecticut, that truly was fishing for me. A row boat on a 50 acre lake filled with bass, perch and sunfish, with some chain pickerel thrown in for the occasional challenge of not losing your lures! Now I live in NC and have to fish from the shore in a pond surrounded by trees. Sooo much frustration! Between the submerged trees and stumps, the wind, and the surrounding trees and bushes, I think that I may have lost more lures in two years than in the past 30 years! ..and they cost so much now! I recently came across a pack of red 3.0 tru turn worm hooks that were $2.39 for 25 hooks. Those same hooks today cost $2.19 per 4! Can you say "INFLATION!" ...Thanks for sharing your trips with us. Blessings!

What a beautiful spot, and great for fishing. I didnt think the audio was bad at all. Youre like the bob ross of fishing. I love watching youre videos. It makes me wanna get out on the banks and start pitching in lures
I love spring crappie fishing. A special tactic I use while shore fishing is flipping a weightless Strike King Mr. Crappie Lightning Shad and reeling very slowly as I constantly twitch very lightly with the rod tip down. The lure stays just beneath the surface as it slowly moves and does little wags. That gets crappie to come right up and hit it. A very similar retrieve with smaller suspending jerkbaits, like a size 6 Husky Jerk and size 4 X-Rap, also works.
NDYak you rock! Love the channel and content! Peace

A nice surprise on my birthday thanks man love your videos keep it up!
You should try use it like a popping cork and can hang it further from the bobber if you're trying it along a transition. They seem to like those transitions. I usually give it about 3 ft and put a 1/32 or 1/64oz jig head so it pendulums slowly and use a 2.5 or 3-in gulp minnow. They love that when they are being finicky with a regular jig and plastic. Give it a pop, wait two or three seconds while the jig slowly pendulums and repeat. Works like a champ, especially at Spawn
