If you do catch one please let it go. Octopus are super intelligent creatures. Humans should quit eating them. They are closer to dogs in their intelligence than cats are.

Nice variety of fish. Thanks for being a great sportsman. I love octopus also but can't bring myself to take one for dinner. That was a big ole trigger. Yum.

Bruh I just noticed how that leopard fish hit the water when you dropped it back in, it froze up like it was getting tazed lol 😂

Steve when I was running boats in Sarasota my buddies father was from Italy and he made some of the best dip that I have ever had with octopus. Might want to try that one day. Great job man!!

here in Australia Trigger fish are generally consider a pest fish that you dont want to catch but they are decent

Nice Day on the Lake of Mexico! It's pretty rare to catch a day that flat, that far offshore. Didn't expect for you to catch a Octopus, You just never know what you might catch out there!

Ever thought of taking a fishing trip to the bahamas?? Love the vids btw

If you troll? You can tie ur line to a bass diving crank bait w/out hooks. Tie heavy leader w/hook to the tail of the crank bait. Speed/depth adjustable. Keep in mind crank baits come in shallow/med/deep diving. This YOU SHOULD TRY.

If you hook your crab in and out through the leg sockets you can cast it without throwing it off and still have plenty of hook point exposed.. If you're using a good size hook..It stays on the hook well..

The Octopus should've been in the title.

Looked like a fun day of fishing. I would rather eat trigger fish than snapper their excellent although they are tough on your filet knives.

Went deap sea on head boat last week out of myrtle beach sc got a big trigger he was so yummy taste like lobster if you just dip in butter crab legs or lobster but better i think

When I was a kid, captains threw the trigger fish back. (80’s)

no you do not need super heavy tackle. four years ago i landed a 7ft sailfish from my kayak on a penn battle 5k using a frozen cigar minnow.
