My boyfriend just called you "the Bob Ross of saltwater fishing" 😂 because you're always so positive!
Steve, I really appreciate that you’re out there in boats and equipment that us commoners can at least imagine owning, bay boats with single engines and necessary gear for the most part. I’m sure you’ll graduate to bigger and better at some point but I hope you continue showing how it’s done without spending a fortune. Best fishing channel on YT!

Hi, Captain. I am Japanese. I always enjoy watching your videos! I was surprised at how to release the Big Snapper! In Japan, when we release deep-seated fish, we insert a small needle into the body to remove air from the floating bag.

Hey! Awesome to hear!! It's a new concept to try! Venting is what we usually do all the time but apparently this is supposed to work better. Who knows , but whatever helps !!
Hi there Frank from Australia here just a idea , if you put a garden hose split it and put it over your hand rail at the side of your boat where you fish, you will stop the impact of your rod against the hand rail and reduce chips and breakages of your Rods it will work like a treat thankyou good fishing.
What’s up Captain Steve !! Love these Friday uploads
Lets go Bamanators!!!! Jig fishing is so much fun.
I am glad you have so much fun out there!! Your enthusiasm is infectious!!

Just recently came across your channel. I wish they had Go-Pros back in the early 90's. I had a 22' Stump Jumper that we would take out to the Marathon humps. Only around 20-22 ,miles off shore. But gotta tell you the fishing out there was incredible. While trolling one trip, catching Mahi- Mahi and Black tips, damn near lost my best rod. Jerked out of the holder. Using an El Nacho skirt, ( pink and white) we were in for the fight of a lifetime. Open face reel, 25 pound test and a 50 pound leader of Fluorocarbon on an 8' Star Hand craft rod, the fight lasted for almost 2 hours and according to my GPS we traveled just shy of 9 miles. Having won the battle of a lifetime,, the 3 of us weighed in our monster. On official scales, our beautiful YELLOWFIN weighed in at 257 pounds. Now that would have been my go to video for bragging rights. My point being I am jealous of the capabilities that fisherman for the last 10 years have had over us old timers. Wishing I was out there with you every time I watch a new video on your channel. Thank you for every memory you bring back to me. Especially am a fan of the deep jigging videos you bring to us. Keep up the great times you bring to those who can't be out there.
Malak is putting in work!
If you had half as much fun making this video as I did watching it, it would have been one hell of a day. With or without time elapse. Speed jigging is such a blast that I don’t want to use any other baits. I should thank you for that!

Thanks for taking me fishing today. It's always a good time. Well done
Grouper are some of my favorite fish. Good to see y'all gettin' em.
I enjoy so much watching your videos.. you're great and thank you for sharing these Beautiful Moments and views.. I learned a lot and I love every time you laugh when you have a fish on the hook😅. Alabama will definitely be one of my destination... following you from Algeria🇩🇿.. North Africa👍
Hey Steve, good fishing. Noticed your hat. I was in the 1st Cav in 1971 for a few months before they pulled out and transfered ua to 1st Av. Was a great outfit. I was a Chinook crewman - down near Long Bin - then ChuLai - then Danang. Flew over most of the country. Not much action but you know, shot at and rocketed on ocassion - flying in bad weather and at night sometimes - Goes with the job. Stay safe and well Brother - noticed the cross also. Got hooked 50 years ago, thankfully.
Awesome! I’ve never tried vertical jigging but it seems so fun

Man take me fishing with you! October 6-11 I’m coming to Orange Beach with my family for a vacation. I really like your personality and the way you fish off shore! Let’s do a video together with one of your fans!
Enjoyed the trip you shared. I believe the red snapper was the biggest I’ve ever seen. They are really tough fish to fight. Keep the line tight and fill the box. Keep’ ‘‘em coming..
That combo is amazing.
Hey I'm looking forward to you reaching 200K now !! Okay and your next video ..
I’m a cat fisherman stumbled onto your videos the other day and I’ve been hooked never done much saltwater fishing but I catch 50 pound cats on a regular basis and I believe y’all fishing is more hardcore than mine, awesome videos brother keep it up

Babe wake up there’s a new Bama Saltwater video!! So glad I could come home after a long week of work to kick the shoes off and watch this. Thanks brother
Need a canopy of sorts on that boat, sun relief a big thing
Just my Descending rig in the mail this week.
Those Cudas must be a blast, it’s even exciting on my tiny screen! Good work.
Nice fish Steven. 🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍
Great trip out. I'm headed out on Monday to the coast of NC around Kure Beach to do some kayak fishing. Hopefully, I'll have half as much luck as you. You definitly inspire me to go out and try harder for them. Also, I checked out the release company you were talkin about. They only offer free gear if you fish the Gulf area. That's a shame. I have been planning a reef trip here in NC for a while, and when it gets calm enough to take my flats boat out (Mako 18LTS) I plan to hit some of them. Thanks for the intel, and taking us along.
Got the same reel but left retrieve, paired w templ reef project X rod. Luv jigging.
Best Saltwater fishing in my honest opinion
Great video
That blue cord baby!!!

Wow, this video is very useful, boss, good luck always 👍
Man, I love watching your videos! Keep it up. I live on the gulf coast in Ms, If your down, I wouldn’t mind coming to fish with you guys. I would pay for fuel of course.
I was on a charter near Ft. Lauderdale on Monday doing fast jigging (super tiring). It is so much fun when a fish hits!! Your arms will be dead at the end of the day, but it is exciting
Man, what a great video ..
Thank you brother for what you do we love you brother and Jesus loves you
Nice fish brother 😂

Awesome videos and keep up the great work! Question for you, why don't you use heavier gear to make the fight just a little easier especially when so deep?
That scamp is the best eating saltwater fish, period and the throat of a larger one is the best piece of meat. And this is from someone who's family was in the Pensacola snapper and shrimp boat business for 60 years.
Awsome brother blessings! I enjoy ur channel lots!!

I'm telling you, a small 'cuda (less than 3') is one of the tastiest fish out there. Once they're filleted and skinned they lose the smell and have firm, white flesh. Great on the grill. Much better than kingfish or amberjack and darned near as good as wahoo.

You should make a video at 3 mile bridge they have been leaving the blue lights and green lights on almost every night and alot of people have been catching reds and black drums at night im sure it would make a good vid
Nice
The water seems relatively calm. Is that unusual so far offshore?
Man I just love jour channel. Looks like you have a really nice home by the water too. How much will that cost ya in Bama?
Hey you ever been to J&M Tackle in orange beach? Any tips for night fishing gulf state park pier I was there a couple days ago and going fishing there again here before I head home from vacation.
Here in Miami.Florida. at 7 miles offshore. Ur basically at the edge of the gulf stream n ur catching fish

I almost died off shore fishing when bad weather showed up, and I was on a much bigger boat than that!
What type of boat do you have
Wonderful fishing. Some of those fish had eyes bigger than their stomach, those jigs were almost as big as the fish themselves....lol. So, I do not wear caps, but that being said have you ever consider selling Bama Saltwater Doo Rags?
this may be a dumb question but how do you guess with accuracy what kind of fish is showing up on the 2d? im kind of new still.
KZread is putting some gray in that beard 😉 great vid!!
Question for you guys around Orange Beach, debating between a 23-25 bay vs a 27’ twin. Love fishing offshore and restaurant hopping around the bay. Can I do what I want in a 27?
@BamaSaltwater
6 ай бұрын
There's a compromise in every single vessel. The 27 will be great offshore on most days but still will not have the versatility of a bay boat IF you enjoy fishing shallow or a lot of inshore. There are tons of hybrid models out there that have a semi deep v but shallow towards the transom and a bow casting deck.
You should carry some pin fish for bait.
I've been looking for property in Alabama and Mississippi on the Gulf Coast. I found a piece of property in Mobile Bay and there was a picture of you holding a big ole fish. Is that a sign?
Hey Stephen, as someone who lives in a landlocked area with really polluted waters, what are the risks of eating so much fish like you do? Is there anything for someone to be concerned about? I love eating seafood and I'd love to have a nice long fishing vacation down at the Gulf sometime when I'm fully healed from this year of back to back surgeries.
How far did you run out
👍
The descending device was great! I went to the website you mentioned and they are still giving away the free gear. One question, where did you get that little descending rod you used in the video? That thing is perfect for the job.
@BamaSaltwater

Awesome, I actually purchased a cheap Daiwa Kite Rod and a Penn Senator 4/0 with braid just for that
So Steve - does fishing pick up in the fall (October, when the water begins cooling back down) similar to how it picks up in the spring? How is fishing in October on the gas rigs, reefs etc that are within 10 miles or so of the coast?
@BamaSaltwater

Yes!! Aside from any severe weather, Fall fishing is my absolute favorite time to fish. Cobia and Mackerel stack up on the near shore rigs / reefs
