Riv is a angel and never gone never forgotten.

I cried for 10 minutes...then I laughed for 20. We love this family. We continue to pray and mourn with you. This is all for a reason. Doesn’t make sense at the moment, but it will one day. ❤️

I have to return to fishing with Riv every so often just to get a smile on my face again.

You know... I'm not a parent, probably won't be for at least a few more years or so. But I am a big brother in a pretty significant 11 year age gap and everytime I think of you guys losing River I think back to when my brother was 3 and how unbelievably tough it would be to lose someone at such a young and pure age. I've literally been thinking about it since I heard the news yesterday and I am heart broken. After watching your videos and experiencing your lives these past few months I truly feel like I know your family which makes it hurt even more, to me and everyone else in your audience You, Amber, London, Lincoln, and River have all become part of our families, therefore have no doubt that you and your family are in a lot of people's thoughts and prayers and Riv will live on through so many people that got to experience these past few months with you and your family. This was recommended to me recently but it hurt my heart to watch it, but I'm watching it now and just, wow, my first thought is that of course every day is a blessing and our babies are gifts, but THIS DAY was a gift from God to you Granger. What a gift to treasure . . . just wow. I'd hold that little car in my pocket forever if I were you. And I say this because I've watched some of your interviews recently and you said how you felt his mission was complete, so that's why I feel safe saying this to you. God knew and he gave you this beautiful day with just you and him. You guys have another prayer warrior on your side watching your videos. May God and an army of many angels surround your beautiful family till you all meet again one day when your missions are complete. I believe our loved ones are waiting for us and when we get there it's like the blink of an eye since we saw them last. God bless. 🙏

Hey smiths family! I’m actually a Commercial bee keeper! Your guys had me laughing but I loved it! It’s hard to tell but it kinda looks like the dead colony dwindled and eventually starved to death. It happens all the time. We run around 2500 colonies and it just randomly happens! Got any questions just send me a message!

This was such an interesting episode! I had anxiety watching y’all with the bees, but Granger had me laughing many times 😂

What a sweet angel I think he rides along with all of us seeing these videos it just makes my heart melt

Just a few things. 1. Try not to stand at the entrance of the hive, that tends to lead to more stings. 2. Raccoons do not bother hives however skunks will. 3. You do smoke to much LOL. You should not need gas to start your smoker. 4. The sticky stuff is called bee glue or Russian penicillin or propolis. It is tree resin and other sources. 5. Bees can live long during the winter up to 3 to 4 months. Also bees have several different life stages. 6. You are doing just fine you learn from doing, keep it up.

My husband and I just started bee keeping too. They are the most amazing creatures. Just proof of God to me. They are awesome!!!!!!

No one can be in a perfect mood 24/7/365&6 for leap year, so its nice to see even frustrated from time to time it shows your real, and as for the bees that's awesome to see. You learning even in a hobby helps the population out.

Sad that a week later little River was gone and their lives changed forever. Such a blessing tho to have these memories. May God continue to bless this family. I’m sure little River is speeding on a little tractor up in heaven and looking down with his precious smile on his face. 👍

I've been around bee's and bee keepers my whole life. We rely on them to pollinate our Almond crop. Fascinating creatures who live an average of 45 days.

I love watching the River vids...

Our 7 year old son came running in at 6 a.m. to tell me "MOMMA there's a new smiths" After morning chores we sat down to watch the smiths. I love that y'all dabble in so many things and do it as a family. I also LOVE that y'all show the parent struggles holy moly it's so gosh darn great to see a normal family. Y'all are awesome and there will always be people who got something to say about what you do but y'all are doing just fine! We are gonna miss the KC show and my little guys are so bummed but we are planning on surprising them with meet and greet passes at your Camdenton Mo show! They are gonna freak out!

I'm so glad you didn't remove the videos featuring Riv (and no-one would have blamed you if you had, especially if they made you feel worse). I didn't know who u were until recently, as I am from Wales, I love country music but tend not to follow it, so please excuse my ignorance!! This beautiful child, River, will continue to bring you sooo much joy in your lives. There may be subtle changes or things you feel, sense, touch even smell, like his favourite bath gel, his favourite food, songs, the possibilities are endless but each time u sense him u'll hear yourself say "Riv's here" and u'll feel him all around u. U'll reach a point when u'll be able to think and talk to /about him without breaking down or feeling that excruciating pain and sense of emptiness & despair. It does get better, I promise! As a kid growing up in the country my grandmother had bees. A local beekeeper (Choice Horn) would work her hives, he only wore a bee mask over his Pith Helmet. I was amazed that he would do this in a plaid short sleeve shirt & his work pants... I've seen him capture a queen then the bees swarm his arm, to transfer them to a new hive. He was only stung a few times when he brushed them off in the new hive ... I was fascinated by that crazy event. Thanks for sharing, keep up the homesteading hobby. You will inspire the next generation.

I work for a pest control company in Houston and getting people to understand that bees need to be live removed and relocated and not just killed because it's cheaper is an ongoing fight. Best wood to use is fluber yucken tree bark for smoke. To feed your bees is the bubba hamma oil and to get better gas mileage is to change the air in your tires each month. Don't forget to replace your blinker fluid often! Just some tips of better Bee Keeping.

Yes same here. My goodness. I know he is in heaven and has all sorts of lightning McQueen cars and just having a blast. Watching over his family as he is holding our lord and saviours hand.

Well done on your hobby and its great to see. Dont worry about the "experts" thats why it is a hobby and you learn from it. That cut in the mesh would have caused the queen to escape hence why they hive died down. Keep up the great content it is appreciated.
