Fisher Investments Reviews its 2024 Midyear Outlook

Fisher Investments’ founder, Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer, Ken Fisher, discusses why he remains optimistic for the rest of 2024. Ken says US presidential election years tend feature robust returns. Ken acknowledges this year is somewhat unique-given investors’ familiarity with the presidential candidates-but thinks falling political uncertainty should still benefit stocks as investors look past US elections.
Ken also believes the resilience of the US economy is underappreciated. He says inflation is decelerating faster than investors appreciate and the Federal Reserve is getting closer to its goals. While Ken admits volatility can strike at any time, he thinks fading political fears against a healthier-than-appreciated economy should provide ample tailwinds in the back half of the year.
