I have just started using fishbites crab in the UK I had a nice sea bass and got smashed up a line break, my mate caught nothing not using the fishbites, yes it was hard getting it of the hook but i left it on for three hours and just changed my lug worm great stuff but expencive in the uk $22 a pack

That is expensive, Thats one good thing about it, If you lose your primary bait you still got your fishbites.

Great video Cap. Loved the elevator music. Now just imagine that fish gum in the salt water with the current pulling on it.

i think fishgum works better in colder water than bites. i think the water has to get up to 72 degrees before the bites will work in the blue packs and the red packs work good in the colder water. its on the packs.

I think fish gum dissolves faster than fish bites, so it effectively works as a true attractant. i couldnt let a rod sit for 20 minutes anyways, so 5 to 10 mins is when i reel my line back in if the bite is hot. fish bites seems to land more grey trout in the surf. but fish gum has works alone very well which impresses me. i went in the sound and didnt have any shrimp ,used fish gum in my harkers island video and it did awesome with the puppy drum by itself. Fish bites are a pain to get off the hook. but i like the sandflea for pomps, and fish gum uses a cheesecloth style mesh, and fish gum uses a heavy cotton mesh. i like em both. but i lean towards fish gum. The owner is a really great guy too.

I like to use fish bites as an addition. I put a little piece on the hook with shrimp, like a cherry on top of the sundae. This doesn’t work as well with fish gum. However, I find fish like fish gum even without the shrimp.
