FISH Were Going CRAZY!! Intense Fishing Day on Parksville Lake

Спорт

Took my kayak out to the closest lake to my house to take advantage of the warm water and active fish. Had success and disappointment but was a really fun day to be out fishing.

That was a Newt, looked like an eastern Spotted Newt but not sure of their range- they usually don't occur in Lakes/ponds with Predators like Bass and Muskie since they're slow and sitting ducks when surfacing to breathe.

Fished a bit on Parksville today near the bridge just passed the Parksville Campground turn. We are camping at Chilhowee this weekend. Finally got some of the Zman bullet jigheads you mentioned and was able to try some Nikko craws as well as some Yum brand ones. Caught a spot with one and a large mouth with the other. Decent for a little over an hour fishing from the bank. Tried a bit down by the dam as well but the water flow rate was crazy.

This trip certainly punched your roller-coaster ride ticket for the day. Dang that musky was on it. Hard to land them in the timber with bass gear. Luckily fought my last toothy critter in open water that couldn't resist the Popper. Way to hang in there and find the blessings. Like I told and still tell my kids about ministry it applies to this trips blessings...it doesn't always look like you think it should. Nice work brother man

John, I know you are multi species fishing and a log is a log but a much heavier spinning set up or better yet casting gear is the way to go for muskie or pike fishing. You probably would have been able to turn that muskie around with either and landed it. May be something to think about at Parksville lake.
